Participants of the ecological society «Rodnik»
have been monitoring the river Zmeika for 5 years.
They created and implemented projects: «Ecological research of the river Zmeika», «Ecological Routs», «Live droplets», «The ecological environment of the city».
Members of the society regularly identify designated dumps and draw public attention to the deterioration of the ecological situation in the town.

We do not think when throw our trash, we do not think throwing packages and various packings on the ground. Thus we further environmental assessment. Wind blows this garbage through the streets, contaminating large areas.

With the emergence of a large number of cars, lorries and buses on the streets of the city the danger of pollution atmosphere of carbon dioxide appeared. This car emits carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.

The ecological society « Rodnik», school № 3 informates:
Examining the Zmeika river we found severe pollution of the territory.
Only on the territory of the reservoir 8 large landfills (excluding small) were found at a total area of over 500 square meters. It means that during a flood rubbish will be found in the river. These landfills are often burn, emitting a huge amount of harmful substances into the atmosphere. This significantly affects people’s health.

Everyone knows small rivers play an important role in people's lives. People take water for watering gardens from such rivers.
People graze cattle on the banks of these rivers, it means we should keep rivers clean, because we eat meat and drink milk of these animals. Zmeika is a spring river. It is inhabited by fish and aquatic plants. So let us save this beautiful corner of nature together.

Do not destroy the nature! Think about the future!

Silent Zmeika River after heavy rains turns into a dangerous opponent , carrying debris emitted by local residents. Among the innocuous debris, the corpses of birds and animals are found.

Ecological society members help to identify contaminated areas, organize cleaning of polluted territories, conduct outreach with residents. Students of the school № 3 are active members of the society.
