Today the Museum has a unique collection of Ancient Egypt, antiquity, Western European and Russian paintings. Rare icons, graphics, sculptures, paintings of famous residents of the city: I. N. Kramskoy, A. A. Buchkuri, E. A. Kiseleva, works of contemporaries are carefully kept here. The Fund has more than 23,000 valuable pieces of art.

The Voronezh regional Museum of local lore (also located in the city and telling about different aspects of its life) — is a really good source of information needed to get acquainted with Voronezh.The Museum has a permanent exhibition telling about the history of the region since the time of primitive man. By the way, in one of the halls of the Museum there are mammoth tusks and a fragment of an ancient boat found in one of the rivers of the region. The same boat, but in the best condition is stored in the State historical Museum in Moscow. What else the Museum can boast - a cast from the face of Peter the Great, an imprint of his hand, a model of Peter's ship and a huge anchor of that time, as well as various household items of the inhabitants of the province.

Voronezh is one of the most beautiful cities in Russia, its rich history has left traces everywhere, decorating the city streets with wonderful architectural and cultural monuments. Many-sided Voronezh reminds one of a cute cartoon kitten from Lizyukov street, others know it as the birthplace of the Navy, and for some it is the place where the Tu-144 and Il-86 aircraft that were designed for the first time in the world.
