TASK 1
PERSONAL LETTER
Balakovo
Russia
7 December 2068
Dear Ben,
Thanks for your letter. It was great to hear from you! Sorry, I have not
written for so long because I have been busy at school studying for my
exams. How are you keeping?
I am happy to know you have chosen your future profession. As for
me, I love travelling and learn about other countries too. I hope to visit
the USA some day.
Well, I have already decided on my career. I want to become a teacher
of foreign languages. I like to work with children. They make me feel
happy.
So, what countries would you like to travel? Have ever been abroad?
Would you like to visit Balakovo?
Give my best to your parents. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Best wishes,
Ann
…In Great Britain most young people want to become independent
from their parents as soon as possible. Could you tell me what you
and your friends think about not relying on your parents? Are you
ready to leave your family immediately after you finish school? Is it
easy to rent a house or an apartment for students in Russia?
As for the latest news, I have just returned from a trip to
Scotland…
You have 20 minutes to do this task.
You have received a letter from your Englishspeaking penfriend
Tom who writes:
