The second task – You should prepare yourself for dictation. Are you ready?

And  the last– work book, page 61. (не успели проверить на прошлом уроке)

Let`s continue to talk about « People of the world».

In the last lesson we didn't have time for exercise number 3 in your student`s book. Please open your students book at the page 76. You have 2 minutes for this exercise.

As our theme is «People of the world», I want to read with you the text about «native Americans».

Before we start I want to translate with you some words. These words will help us with our translation.

Raise your hand if you know the meaning of the word.

If you don`t know. Write down this word in your copybook.

1)    Across – через

4)    Settler(s) – поселенец/поселенцы (Человек, поселившийся где-нибудь впервые на новом, необжитом месте.)

And now we will read and then translate these texts. Who wants to begin?

We will repeat Present Continuous and Present Simple.

You remember that we use Present Simple when we talk about daily routines. For example –I wake up at 7 o`clock every day. Give me your examples please. What do you do every day?

Who can tell me, when we use present continuous?

We use present continuous when we talk about activities which we can do at the moment of speaking.

For example: what am I doing? I am checking my messages.

I want you to do some grammar exercise.

I want to play a game with you. We need two teams.    Each team makes a list of actions and thinks how to show them. One pupil from team А stands at the front of the class and try to show an action without words

Team B tries to guess /in English of course/what he or she is doing.
