Dear Sveta, Thank you for your letter. I am Alex. I am from Great Britain. My country is beautiful too! The capital Of Great Britain is London. There are many new and old houses and bridges in London. There are a lot of cars in the streets. You can also see many interesting towns in GB, like Oxford, Cambridge and others.

The United Kingdom and Northern Ireland is situated on the British Isles. The United Kingdom is made up of four countries: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

The capital of UK is London.  It’s one of the largest cities in the world and the largest one in Europe.

My home is my castle. Men make houses, women make homes. Some families of Britain live in beautiful homes; built by their families hundreds of years ago.  In many houses in Great Britain they have fire-places

London stands on the river Thames. Crossing the river by the Tower Bridge you can see the Tower of London.

This university town is very beautiful. The oldest university there is Oxford. The first of its colleges was founded in 1249. The university now has thirty-five colleges and about thirteen thousand students, many of them from other countries.

Cambridge is one of the best known towns in the world and it can be found on most tourists' lists of places to visit. Cambridge is famous for its university, which started during the 13th century.
