Some interesting facts about New Year
• “Christmas” is not synonym to “New Year”. Christmas celebrates event when God became a human. Christmas is more religious.
• New Year in Ancient Egypt was celebrated in September.
• Russian symbol of New Year is Ded Moroz. Ded Moroz has his own birthday on day of the First Snow.

There are some another
same holidays. For example, Old New Year, which is celebrated on 13 and 14
January.
• Quiz contains 12 questions, 3 questions to each country.
• Class should be divided into 4 teams, 8 pupils in every team.
• Every team has a captain, its own name and slogan.
• If team is ready to answer, captain have to say
“We are ready!”
