Настоящее методическое пособие предназначено для преподавателей английского языка медицинских училищ и колледжей, обучающих студентов I – IV курсов.

Назначение внеклассной работы расширение сферы применения английского языка.

Своими увлекательными формами эта работа вызывает определенный эмоциональный настрой и является мощным рычагом мотивации обучения.

Комфортная обстановка внеклассной работы, построенной на добровольных началах, свободной от прямолинейного дидактизма, стимулирует развитие инициативы студентов, их способностей, снятию всяческих психологических барьеров и комплексов, мешающих самовыражению; каждый может и хочет себя проявить.

Менее подготовленные студенты имеют шанс проявить себя, шанс на веру в свои способности и в самого себя. При организации внеклассной работы студенты показывают уровень овладения общими компетенциями:

- ОК 6 – работать в коллективе и команде;

- ОК 5 – использовать информационно-коммуникационные технологии в профессиональной деятельности;

- ОК 4 – осуществлять поиск и использование информации, необходимой для эффективного выполнения профессиональных задач;

- ОК 8 – самостоятельно определять задачи профессионального и личностного развития, заниматься самообразованием.

Участие во внеклассной работе способствует развитию таких качеств личности как активность, целеустремленность, коллективизм.

Внеклассная работа помогает разумно организовать досуг студентов, направляет их интеллектуальную и эмоциональную энергию в нужное русло.

Очень важна содержательная сторона внеклассной работы, при ее определении я отталкиваюсь от «зоны актуального развития», т.е. от реальных знаний, умений и навыков студентов по иностранному языку и их общеобразовательного уровня, и иду к «зоне ближайшего развития», т.е. предлагаю содержание с неким опережением, то, чем еще предстоит овладеть.

Эти термины использует Л.С. Выготский в своей книге «Мышление и речь».

При организации внеаудиторной работы ставлю следующие задачи:

• совершенствование навыков устной речи;

• предоставить студентам дополнительную возможность использования языка как средства общения на внеклассных занятиях;

• привитие интереса к изучению языка;

• развитие творческих способностей;

• расширение кругозора;

• формирование профессиональной культуры будущих специалистов;

• воспитание студентов в духе коллективизма, взаимопомощи и уважения друг к другу.

Одним из направлений внеаудиторной работы является кружковая работа, которая строится на добровольных началах. На занятиях кружка мы изучаем дополнительный материал по грамматике, фонетике, стихи, песни, проводим вечера и конкурсы. Некоторые студенты с удовольствием занимаются перепиской с зарубежными друзьями.

Эта работа расширяет знания об англоязычных странах, формирует культуру письма, позволяет ознакомиться с разговорным языком.

«Золотые правила написания писем»,

«Как написать личное письмо» «Как написать деловое письмо» «Анкета для переписки»

«Как написать письмо кумиру»

Студенты с удовольствием занимаются творческой работой:

• собственные переводы стихов на английском языке;

• изготовление своих открыток;

• сочинения;

• постановка оценок, пьес;  изготовление грамматических таблиц.

Сочинение «My special book» («Моя особая книга»), «I want to tell you about…» («Я хочу вам рассказать о…»), «My town», «My college (school)», можно проводить не только в училище, но и в школе.

«My special book» оформляется в виде книги, содержащей мысли студента (школьника) о хорошем и плохом, о самом лучшем и худшем дне жизни, о самом дорогом человеке, о будущем и прошлом, 10 желаний, я люблю и не люблю. Психолог может использовать этот материал в своей работе, это позволит лучше узнать человека, его проблемы, пути их решения.

Конкурс “English for pleasure” – «Английский с удовольствием»

Проводится на итоговом занятии по коррективному курсу в конце сестра с целью контроля лексики, грамматики, диалогической и монологической речи. Задания составлены с учетом знаний студентов. На занятиях можно использовать отдельные задания – этапы конкурса. Например, контроль лексики можно проводить в форме «Словесного волейбола» – IX задание или «Кроссворд» -–VIII задание. Этот конкурс подходит для студентов I-II курсов обучения.

Компетентностный подход – владение компетенциями, то есть тем, что могут делать студенты, каким способом деятельности овладели, к чему готовы, осуществляется на протяжении всей внеклассной деятельности.

Особенно профессиональные компетенции формируются у студентов на профессиональном конкурсе «Мы любим медицину» и на олимпиаде.

Можно проследить овладение такими профессиональными компетенциями, как:

- ПК 1.1. проводить мероприятия по сохранению и укреплению здоровья населения;

- ПК 1.2. проводить санитарно-гигиеническое воспитание населения;

- ПК 2.2. осуществлять лечебно-диагностические вмешательства;

- ПК 2.7. осуществлять реабилитационные мероприятия;

- ПК 2.8. оказывать паллиативную помощь;

- ПК 3.1. оказывать доврачебную помощь при неотложных состояниях;

- ПК 3.2. участвовать в оказании медицинской помощи при чрезвычайных

ситуациях;

Профессиональный конкурс «Мы любим медицину»

Этот конкурс для студентов III-IV курсов проводится на итоговом занятии I семестра. Позволяет проконтролировать знание лексики, терминологии, медицинских тем, поговорок о здоровье. В заданиях III, IV, V, VII студенты

имеют возможность показать свои профессиональные навыки и прокомментировать их. Для капитанов представлены задачи соответственно для акушерок и медсестер.

Вечер “Christmas” – «Рождество в англоязычных странах».

Проводится 25 декабря – в Рождество с целью расширения знания студентов о культуре, обычаях стран изучаемого языка, а также с целью развития творческих способностей студентов. Студенты показывают сценки по содержанию Библии (рождение Иисуса Христа), сами изготавливают костюмы. Представлены рецепты рождественских блюд. Звучат стихи о Рождестве, песня “Jingle Bells” с переводами студентов. Проводится конкурс стенгазет о Рождестве.

«День Святого Валентина»

Проводится 14 февраля. Обязательно конкурс стенгазет и стихов о любви с переводами студентов. Весь день работает «Почта», студенты обмениваются Валентинками. Можно проводить со студентами разных курсов. Студенты узнают больше о традициях англоязычных стран, проявляют творческие способности.

Олимпиада

Лучше проводить между несколькими медицинскими училищами (колледжами) в конце учебного года. Способствует укреплению сотрудничества между медицинскими училищами и преподавателями, позволяет оценить ваших студентов на фоне других (их знания, творчество).

Кружковая работа Стихи

Представлены стихи разной сложности в зависимости от курса. Например, стихи: “It’s a small world”, “Smiles”, “Just so”, все стихи на стр. 51 – подойдут студентам I-II курсов, а остальные – для III-V курсов, причем длинные стихи можно учить группами студентов от 3 до 5 человек. Всегда интересно послушать собственные переводы студентов в стихах.

Разучивание стихов способствует укреплению памяти, мышления, внимания, развитию творческих способностей, лексических и грамматических навыков.

Песни на английском языке

Представлено 25 детских песен из сборника «Песни Дисней Лэнда» в исполнении детского хора Диснейленд и Лэри Грейс. Любые песни очень хороши для отработки фонетических навыков, интонации, тренировки памяти, создают эмоциональный фон на занятии.

Переписка (по почте и по Интернету)

Занимает очень важное место в кружковой работе. Формируются навыки письма на языке, лучше запоминается лексика, грамматика. По письмам очень хорошо учить разговорный язык.

Переписка расширяет знания о культуре англоязычных и других стран, позволяет приобрести друзей за рубежом и, возможно, посетить их.

Представлен материал «Как правильно оформить адрес», «Золотые правила написания писем», «Как написать личное письмо», «Оформление делового письма», «Письмо кумиру» (адреса кинозвезд, поп-звезд).

Творческие работы

Это могут быть сочинения, переводы стихов, стенгазеты на разные темы, изготовление своих открыток, проекты.

Представлена книга “My special book” (Моя особая книга), которая содержит несколько разделов – мыслей студента (ученика).

Это очень серьезная работа студента (ученика). С годами может меняться отношение человека к жизни, к людям, к своей профессии. Поэтому писать такую книгу можно начинать с I-II курса и заканчивать на III-IV курсах. Разделы книги можно расширить, например, о своем отношении к медицинской профессии.

Стиль авторов творческих работ сохранен.

КОНКУРС “English for pleasure” для I – II курсов

Пояснительная записка

Конкурс проводится на базе коррективного курса, изученных разговорных тем: «Моя семья», «Моё свободное время», грамматических тем «Настоящее простое время», «Будущее простое время».

Практическая цель: совершенствовать речевые умения, грамматические и лексические навыки; представить студентам дополнительную возможность использования языка как средство общения на внеклассных занятиях.

Образовательная цель: контроль лексических и грамматических знаний.

Воспитательная цель: воспитание студентов в духе коллективизма, взаимопомощи и уважения друг к другу; развитие творческих способностей; расширение кругозора (английские песни и стихи).

Участники: студенты, команды (8 человек) включают в себя студентов, ранее изучавших язык и не изучавших в школе.

Оснащение: магнитофон, кассеты с английскими песнями, таблицы с грамматическими заданиями, лексический кроссворд, мяч, таблицы текстами по чтению, плакат «Welcome», буклет с английскими песнями.

Вечер «Рождество (Christmas) в англоязычных странах»

для I – III курсов

Мотивация темы: расширение кругозора студентов, знаний о традициях и обычаях стран.

Форма проведения: урок – беседа с элементами художественной самодеятельности.

Продолжительность: 80 минут.

Участники: студенты.

Цель занятия:

1. Дидактическая:

1) Формирование знаний по теме «Праздники. Рождество»;

2) Практика устной речи и аудирования.

2. Воспитательная:

1) Привитие интереса к культуре других стран; 2) Воспитание чувства прекрасного в студентах;

3) Расширение знаний о Библии.

1) развитие памяти, внимания, наблюдательности;

2) развитие логического мышления.

I. Оргмомент

Hello, everybody!

Today we celebrate Christmas.

I will tell you how it is celebrated in Gr. Britain and in the USA and other countries (преподаватель англ.яз.).

Звучит стихотворение о Рождестве на английском языке. Затем студентка читает свой перевод в стихах.

II. Рассказ о Рождестве на английском языке с переводом на русский язык (т.к. есть студенты, не изучавшие ранее язык). Каждый студент имеет своего переводчика.

1. About 4.000 years ago people began celebrating this holiday decorating X-mas trees.

2. X-mas Eve is on the 24-th of December. On this day everybody is busy and in a hurry. Offices close at l oclock, but the shops stay open late.

3. In the evening of the

24-th of December children hang their Christmas stockings on their beds or put them under the X-mas trees. Father X-mas (Santa Claus) puts presents into them.

4. People use holly and mistletoe to decorate their homes. On X-mas Eve there’s a bunch of mistletoe in every house. Under this bunch boys kiss qirls. Показываются остролист и омела.

5. Nicholas (he was a bishop) was good and gentle and he loved kids. He died in 326. He was popular all over the world. So St. Nicholas or Santa Claus became the part of X-mas.

6. On X-mas Eve people like to light candles. If there are kids in the family they often have X-mas crackers. Kids make small flags and X-mas hats are made of coloured paper. Демонстрируются рождественские шляпы и флажки.

9. At X-mas a pantomime for kids is played. You can see princes, princesses and fairies. The Nativity Play tells the Tale of Christ s Birth.

Профессиональный конкурс “We love medicine” («Мы любим медицину») для III – IV курсов

Пояснительная записка

Медицинский конкурс проводится на базе материала 1 семестра, раздел I "Parts of the human body" и раздел II "General medical terminology".

Практическая цель: совершенствовать речевые умения, грамматические и лексические навыки; предоставить студентам дополнительную возможность использования языка как средство общения на внеклассных занятиях.

Образовательная цель: контроль лексических и грамматических знаний.

Воспитательная цель: воспитание студентов в духе коллективизма, взаимопомощи и уважения друг к другу; развитие творческих способностей.

Участники: студенты, команды по 8 человек.

Оснащение: скелет, необходимые реквизит для решения проблемных ситуаций (вода, ткань, бинт, витамины, шины), плакаты по теме "Здоровье", плакаты с кроссвордом.

Ход занятия

Ведущий – Good afternoon, dear guests and students! Today an English competition in medicine will take place between two groups of nurses and midwives of the 3 rd courses.

Ответ: Rude attitude to a woman is impossible. We must not cry loudly. Wrong tactics may lead to the death of the fetus.

Пояснительная записка

Практическая цель: совершенствование навыков устной речи – диалогической, активизация речевых образцов, грамматических умений и навыков.

Образовательная цель: проверка правильности употребления в речи речевых образцов, грамматических форм.

Воспитательная цель: привитие интереса к изучению английского языка, формирование профессиональной культуры будущих специалистов.

Оснащение: аудитория ЮМУ украшена шарами, плакатами. Дидактический материал (карточки, картинки). Макет скелета для проведения этапов конкурса. Призы для награждения участников конкурса, команды-победителя.

Ведущая: Можно ли дарить цветы мужчине? (Можно, если он пожилой человек или ваш начальник).

- В дождь ты встретил знакомую девушку, и она без зонта. Ты предложишь ей зонт или пробежишь мимо? (В любом случае предложу зонт).

- У тебя плохое настроение. Как ты от него попытаешься избавиться: Послушаешь музыку, посидишь в тишине, или пойдешь к друзьям? (это зависит от характера и привычек).

Ведущий: Предположим, ты узнал, что у твоей подруги превосходный слух и голос. На вечеринке предложил ей продемонстрировать свои способности, а она от неожиданности стала отказываться. Что ты предпримешь – будешь настаивать или откажешься от своего намерения? (Откажусь).

- Сколько цветов должно быть в букете, который вы дарите? Можно ли дарить 1 цветок? (нечетное количество. 1 цветок дарить можно).

Ведущая: Что связывает людей, испытывающих симпатии? Правильно, невидимые цепи. Вам, уважаемые участники, предстоит их изготовить. (На 4-х столиках лежат заранее приготовленные полоски бумаги, клей, скрепки, ножницы). Пока звучит песня, вы должны, изготовить эту цепь, пользуясь своей смекалкой и руками.

Ведущая: Давайте, сравним чья "цепь" получилась длиннее. Пара, сделавшая самую длинную и крепкую (при встряхивании) "цепь" получает очередной "жетон".

Ведущий: А сейчас вам предстоит вспомнить литературных и исторических героев. На столиках лежат карточки, на которых написаны женские и мужские имена. Составьте из них пары, пока звучит музыка.

Условия конкурса – юноша шагает по сцене от занавеса к противоположной стороне и при каждом шаге говорит (в адрес девушки) ласковое слово: дорогая, милая и т.д. Зал помогает считать - победитель получает "жетон".

Ведущая: Сейчас мы подведем итоги, посчитаем у каждой пары количество жетонов и пара – победитель, т.е. "Валентин и Валентина" нашего вечера получает приз.

Ведущий: Дорогие друзья, пока наши пары находятся перед нами на сцене, мы объявляем конкурс "Зрительской симпатии". И определим мы это по вашим аплодисментам.

It’s here again, the day when boys and girls, sweethearts and lovers; husbands and wives, friends and neighbours, and even the office staff will exchange greetings of affection, undying love or satirical comment.

This is the legend of how St. Valentine’s Day began.

When the Roman emperor Claudius II needed soldiers, he made a law against marrying because he felt that marriage made men want to stay home instead of fighting wars.

Now, a kindly priest named Valentine, seeing he love of young couples, married some secretly. But he was discovered and condemned to death.

Even in prison, Valentine showed his love for everyone. His jailer had a young daughter who was blind. And by a miracle. Valentine restored her sight. Just before his death, on February 14, he sent her a farewell message signed "From your Valentine".

Now, February 14 fell in the midst of a Roman festival called the Lupercalia. When Christianity became the religion of Rome. this joyous day was changed to St.

MEN ARE SOMETIMES JUST LIKE TREES

A popular tree grew tall and straight,
