The telescope was invented in 1607 by the Dutch master John Lippersgrey. Galileo Galilei was the first to direct the telescope into the sky, turning it into a telescope and receive new scientific data. In 1609, he created his first telescope with a triple magnification.
In the 20th century, the development of telescopes was observed, which operated in a wide range of wavelengths from radio to gamma rays. To study space objects in the radio range, radio telescopes are used. The first specially designed radio telescope went into operation in 1937.
By combining eight powerful radio telescopes located around the planet into one global network, we managed to create an “Event Horizon Telescope (EHT)” and in 2 years of observations we managed to get the first ever photo of a black hole at a distance of 53 million light-years from the earth.
