How do American houses differ from Russian ones?

House sizes:
According to her, first of all, private houses differ in the type of construction. In America, frame construction is more common, while in our country quite a variety of options are offered. In the USA, houses are usually larger in size – 150-200 square meters. In Russia, the average square footage is 100-120 square meters.
Houses are built immediately on a turnkey basis:
In North America, a house that is being built for sale or to order for a specific client is almost always built on a turnkey basis, with all communications and interior decoration. The whole process takes no more than 4-5 months. Moreover, by default, a kitchen set, plumbing and a minimum set of appliances necessary for life are immediately installed there. In Russia, in most cases, the text is taken from the chic BroDude.ru At first, only the so-called thermal contour of the house is being built (without communications and interior decoration). And only after a year or even more, the construction continues. This is often due to a lack of money for the whole house at once or the need to wait for the shrinkage of a house built, for example, from glued beams or logs. As we remember, such houses are practically not found in North America.
Slider windows:
In most Russian private houses, windows are installed with sashes that open into the room, like a door. In the USA and Canada, windows with vertical sliding shutters, the so-called "sliders" or "guillotines", are considered classics. This option saves internal space, but nevertheless has its pros and cons. For example, sliders are more difficult to wash from the outside.
