Siberian tigers live in the forests of the Sikhote-Alin mountains near the Amur River in the southernmost part of Russia

Description:

The coat of the Siberian tiger is not so bright. The color does not change in winter and summer — it remains red, but in winter it is a little lighter than in summer. Tiger has powerful paws — they help to walk on deep snow.
His weight up to about 300 kg and
He can grow up to 3 metres.

Food:

The main diet is wild deer. If these animals are not enough, tigers feed on badgers, raccoons, hares, fish, and sometimes fill up bears. In severe famine, Amur tigers attack livestock and dogs. But to be well-fed and healthy, one tiger still needs fifty deers a year.

Why in danger:

Siberian tigers are dying out due to poaching, which reduces their numbers, and due to human-induced disturbances in the ecosystem. The number of animals that tigers hunt is decreasing, the water is getting worse - the rivers are polluting.
