The type: competition.
The aims: 1. To develop the pupil’s pronunciation in English
2. To develop their thinking and
speaking. 3. To check their knowledge.
The aids: interactive board, papers, pens, numbers.
Dear teachers and spectators! Welcome to our
competition that calls “The leader of the XXI century”. Let me introduce to you
our players.
Our competition consists of 4 stages.
The first stage is “Baiga”
The second stage is “Polyglot”
The third stage is “What do you know about
these countries?”

У нас сегодня необычный конкурс, который будет проходить на трёх языках. В Послании Президента Республики Казахстан Назарбаева Н.А. говорится о трехязычие. (Будущее поколение должно владеть казахским языком – как государственным, русским – как языком межнационального общения, английским – как языком международного общения. Наша цель – выявить сегодня такого ученика, который владеет этими тремя языками: умеет слушать, думать и говорить на русском, казахском и английском языках!

Dear pupils it’s time to check your knowledge.
Dear pupils are very active in our competition. Please don’t shout from your
place. Be polite and if who knows the answer, raise your hands, please.
Players, are you ready for this competition? Then let’s begin.
Our first stage is “Baiga”. In this stage you must answer my questions. At every correct answer you will get 10 points.
1. What is the capital of England? (London)
2. Who is the head of Kazakhstan? (President T.Tokaev)
3. How many months in a year? (Twelve)
4. What is the official language of the United Kingdom? (English)
5. What is the capital of Kazakhstan? (Astana)
6. Who wrote the novel “Abai zholy”? (M.Auezov)
7. Who is the President of the USA? (Donald Trumb)
8. What colors are on Kazakhstan Flag? (blue and yellow)
9. How many days in a week? (seven)
2- бөлім – «Полиглот». Бұл бөлімде сайыскерлер жұмбақ шешеді. Жұмбақтың шешуін ағылшын тілінде айтады және оны қазақ, орыс тілдеріне аударады. Әр дұрыс жауапқа 3 балл.
The 2th level is “Polyglot”. The participants answer to riddles. The answer is translated into Kazakh and Russian languages. For the right answer – 3 points .
2 тур – «Полиглот». Участники отгадывают загадки и называют ключевое слово на английском языке. Это слово нужно перевести на казахский и русский языки. За каждый правильный ответ 3 балла.

2) Лежал, лежал, да и в речку побежал. (Снег,
snow, қар)
3) Қар сияқты аппақ, өзі
сондай тәтті - ақ . (Қант, сахар, sugar)
4) What has legs but cannot run? (a chair,
стул, орындық)
5) Длинное хвостище, рыжее волосище, сама
хитрище. (лиса, a fox, түлкі)
6) Ол жұмса көзін ұйықтаймын өзім. (шырақ, лампа, a lamp)
7) The little old man who has 12 children. (a year, год, жыл)
8) Глаза боятся, а они делают. ( руки,
колдар, hands)
9) Адамға серік, күзетке берік? (ит,
dog, собака)
So the third stage is over. One competitor who picks up least of all points that leaves our competition. Now let’s begin our fourth stage which called “What do you know about these countries?” On display you see some questions about 3 countries: Kazakhstan, England and USA. That participant who has fewer points chooses the questions. About Kazakhstan:
1. What is the capital of Kazakhstan? (Astana) 20
2. What is the symbol of Kazakhstan? (An eagle) 30
3. In what month is Kazakh NEW YEAR celebrated? (In March) 40
About England:
1. London is the capital of … (England) 20
2. Who is the head of Great Britain? (Queen Elizabeth II) 30
3. What is the official name of Great Britain? (The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland) 40
About USA:
1. Who is the head of the USA? (Donald Trumb) 20
2. How many states are there in the USA? (50 states) 30
3. What oceans is the USA washed by? (The Atlantic ocean and the Pacific ocean) 40
Presenter: Dear children, we have come to the end of our competition. Let’s see our results. The juries give the results of the competition. Who is the Best and Clever? The winner of our competition is ……. My congratulations, I wish you success and luck. Our competition is over. Thank you for your attention. Good bye!
1. Тіл - халықтын жаны, сәны, тұтастай кескін – келбеті, болмысы. Адамды мұратқа жеткізетін - ана тілі мен ата дәстүрі. Қазақстан - көп ұлты мемлекет. 1 мамыр Қазақстан халықтарының бірлігі күні. Барлық ұлттың Қазақстандықтары бір шанырақтың астында өмір сүреді.
2. Президент нашего государства Н.А. Назарбаев выступает за знание нескольких языков. И сегодня мы, нынешнее поколение, изучаем казахский язык как государственный, русский, как межнационального общения, английский, как язык международного уровня. Ведь полиязычие – это путь к солидарности и единству!
