The Game-competition “The Little Linguists”

Цель: - развитие творческих и речевых способностей учащихся, внимания, мышления, воображения, мотивации к изучению и использованию английского языка в разнообразных формах общения;

- расширение знаний учащихся о культурных традициях страны изучаемого языка;

- воспитание уважительного отношения к культуре других народов;

- развитие навыков сотрудничества, умения работать в команде.

  Классы: 5 а,б; 6б

Ход мероприятия:

1.Вступление

Good-afternoon, dear boys and girls! We are glad to greet you at our game . All children like to play. That is why we shall play the game  “The Little Linguists” today.

Класс делится на три команды, каждая команда выбирает себе название, девиз и капитана команды.

1раунд « Разминка»

1.The symbol of this country is the red rose.  What country is it?

a) Scotland

b) Wales

c) England

2.Where can you see ravens in London?

a)     In Westminster Abbey

b)    In Trafalgar Square

c)     In the Tower of London

3.What is the capital of  Wales?

a)     Cardiff

b)    Belfast

c)     London

II Основная часть конкурса:

2 раунд «Достопримечательности Лондона»

Командам выдаются названия достопримечательностей.  Учитель зачитывает небольшие рассказы- описание различных достопримечательностей. Прослушав, команды подбирают  название и описание.

3 раунд «Аукцион неправильных глаголов»

Каждая команда по очереди называет три формы неправильных глаголов.

4 раунд «Раунд капитанов»

Капитаны команд получают задание на карточках. Им необходимо продолжить логическую цепочку.

5 раунд : Find the odd word («Найди лишнее слово в строке»)

n  Spring, autumn, cold, winter

n  Hot, frog, foggy, frosty

n  Interesting, walking, cycling, swimming

6 раунд: Yes| No questions.  Учитель загадывает животное, а учащиеся должны отгадать, что это за животное, с помощью  различных вопросов.

1.     Is it (big,…)?

2.     Is it (red,…)?

3.     Can it (run,…)?

4.     Does it live in the (river,…)?

5.     Is it a (dog,…)?

7 раунд: «Guess what season is it…» «Угадай, какое это время года»

There are four seasons in a year: spring, summer, autumn and winter. Each of them lasts three months. Read short texts and guess what season described is. Start your answer with
                           I think it's… because…

This season comes in March and ends in May. It often rains, especially in April. People say," April showers bring May flowers.” The weather is changeable. Usually it's cool. But sometimes it's  very cold. In April winds bring warm weather.

III Подведение итогов конкурса.

Итак , ребята. Наш конкурс подходит к концу. Необходимо  выбрать победителя.
