2. Main body |
Arranges the students into two teams and sits each team in a circle. Tells the teams that they are going to race each other to say everyone's name in their team. Gives the first student in each team a ball. The game continues until all the names have been said. If a student forgets the name of a teammate, the team starts over from the first student. The first team to finish wins the round and scores a point. Then, teacher starts with a different student and repeat the game with other personal information, (age, city). The team with the most points at the end of the game wins. Teacher gives small prizes to the winners as a reward.
|
The first student begins the game by saying their name, e.g. «I'm Ivan». The first student then passes the ball to the second student. The second student repeats the first student's name and then says their own name, e.g. «He's Ivan, and I'm Sveta». The second student passes the ball to the next student. The next student continues, e.g. «He's Ivan. She's Sveta, and I'm Denis». The game continues until all the names have been said. Then, they play again but using the information about ages and cities. The first student says: «I’m 10» or «I live in Moscow». The second student repeats the information about the first student and adds information about himself/ herself, e.g. «She is 10. I’m 11» or «She lives in Moscow. I live in Severodvinsk». The game continues until all ages/ cities have been said. |
