Жирафы.

There are разные kinds of animals on нашей планете, and all of them are very important for it. Например, everybody knows that the акулы are dangerous for people, but they are полезные for cleaning морская вода. There are два типа of animals: домашние (or pets) and wild. People держат  pets in their homes. And some wild animals are very dangerous. Domestic animals живут рядом с people, whereas дикие animals’ “homes” are forests, jungles, океан and so on.

Giraffes are very beautiful and необычные animals. They are самые высокие and animals in the world. Giraffes can достигают a height of 5,5 m and a вес of 900 kg. They are известны their long necks. But does anybody know, that giraffes have a very long tongue? They even могут чистить уши with it! Giraffes are обычно желтые or light brown with dark stains. Giraffes live in African savannas. They can live from 20 to 30 years. It is interesting to know, that giraffes sleep only двадцать минут at a time. They sit down on the ground and bend their long neck down.

Giraffes не hunt. They eat листья, трава and fruit. Due to their long neck, they can reach the highest leaves on the trees that другие животные cannot eat.

You can можете встретить giraffes in city Zoos. They are very дружелюбные and all the children like them very much.
