Добавляется окончание –s dog-dogs, cat-cats
Если существительное заканчивается на буквы –x, -s или буквосочетания -ss, -ch, -sh, то добавляется окончание –es fox-foxes, watch-watches
Если существительное заканчивается на букву y (после согласной), то добавляется окончание –es, а буква y меняется на i family-families
Если существительное заканчивается на буквы –f, -fe, то во множественном числе они меняются на –v и добавляется окончание -es wolf-wolves, shelf-shelves

A big family lives in one little village. There are four women in this family: a mother and three daughters. There are two men in their family: a father and a son. All children go to school. The parents have a lot of work at home because they have a big farm. Children help them every day. The family has two cows, three sheep, four pigs, five geese and a dog.
