ICE

Ice is a Russian musical sports romantic comedy drama film directed by

Oleg Trofim. The film tells the story of a

talented figure skater who suffers a serious

injury due to a mistake by her partner, and her relationship with a

simple hockey player whose love helps her overcome herself.

WHERE WAS THE FILM SHOT

The filming of the movie "Ice" took place in several Russian cities: Irkutsk, Sochi, and Moscow.

Some of the filming locations include: — Irkutsk: the Universitetsky microdistrict, where one of the scenes of the movie was filmed, and the village of Listvyanka.

- Sochi: the ice filming took place at the Iceberg Sports Palace, where the figure skating competitions were held during the 2014 Olympics, and the final scene was filmed at the Bolshoi Ice Palace. - Moscow: the last filming day took place in the Exhibition of Achievements of the National Economy, where the main characters are supposed to have a romantic date.

THE MAIN FILM ACTORS

•     Little Nadia grows up in a single-parent family, and her mother is the only one who raises her. Nadia dreams of becoming a figure skating champion, but she is not accepted into any sports clubs.

•     One day, a renowned coach takes notice of Nadia and offers to help her develop her skills. Nadia's career takes off, but she suddenly suffers a severe injury and realizes that she will have to say goodbye to her sports career.

•     However, Nadia meets a man who helps her recover from her injury, and she regains her faith in the best. Soon, after overcoming all the obstacles, the girl returns to figure skating.

•     The character of Nadezhda Lapshina is a composite character,

         Nadezhda Lapshina  based on the lives of Russian figure skaters who have gone

through serious trials.

Alexander Gorin is a character from a dysfunctional family with a difficult childhood: his mother suffered from alcoholism, and his father was a tyrant who suppressed his son. As a child, Gorin was involved in sports and dreamed of becoming a figure skater, but his father insisted on hockey.

As an adult, Gorin struggles to control his emotions and handle conflict situations in a mature manner. Initially, he treats Nadezhda with disdain, but he eventually realizes that she can be helped and put back on her feet. In the film "Ice 2," Gorin raises his daughter alone, which forces him to forget about his hockey career and personal life. However, after

several years, he decides to return to the sport, which is not an easy task due to his extended break.

•     Irina Sergeevna Shatalina, figure skating coach.

•     The film tells how Shatalina worked with the main character, Nadezhda Lapshina. When the girl started figure skating at the age of seven, Shatalina did not want to take her on the team, believing that she had no chance. However, Nadia's mother did not inform anyone about the coach's refusal and continued to train her daughter independently.

•     Shatalina gave Nadezhda a chance to become a figure skater, and thanks to her perseverance, strength of character, and daily hard work, the

Irina Sergeevna Shatalina girl became the best student of her coach and a diamond of the national team.
