We reached London late at night.

5. Place - a position, building, town, area, etc (место)
His leg's broken in two places.
Edinburgh would be a nice place to live.
What a stupid place to park.

Room - space for things to fit into (место, пространство)
Is there enough room for all of us in your car?
Can everyone move up a bit to make room for these people?
There's hardly enough room to move in here.

gap - an empty space or hole in the middle of something, or between two things (щель, промежуток)
There's quite a big gap between the door and the floor.
The sun was shining through a gap in the curtains.

5. Foreign –
a foreign language/student, foreign cars/films
• The tour went through seven foreign countries in two weeks.
There was no address, and the writing was in a foreign language.
