St David – Patron Saint of Wales
On the 1st of March the Welsh celebrate the life of their patron
saint, St David, who died on that day in 589AD.
The Cathedral of St David's in Pembrokeshire, where his remains
are buried, became a popular place of pilgrimage.

both of their national emblems a daffodil
or leek and celebrate at special concerts
and processions.
