MOSCOW UNDERGROUND Moscow underground is rail public transport. Moscow metro - sixth in the world in terms of intensity of use, the fifth-in length. Consists of 14 lines with a total length of 381 km. In the Moscow metro 223 existing stations, 44 stations are recognized as objects of cultural heritage, as are more than 40 monuments of architecture. The first line opened on may 15, 1935 and went from Sokolniki station to Park Kultury station.

PARIS METRO The Paris metro is one of the oldest subways in Europe. The first subway lines were laid strictly under the roadway. It was opened on July 19, 1900 and has 14 lines. The length of the paths 220 km with 302 stations.

LONDON UNDERGROUND London underground — one of the largest in the world, consists of 11 lines, 402 km, 270 stations. Along the length of the lines, the metro ranks fourth in the world. London underground is the oldest underground railway in the world; its first line opened in 1863.

TOKYO METRO Tokyo metro is a system of high-speed transport. It has 285 stations, ranks 2nd in the world in annual passenger traffic. The most used metro station — Shinjuku-passes 2 million passengers a day. The first line was launched on December 30, 1927.

BEIJING METRO Beijing metro is a system of high-speed rail transport in Beijing. It was opened in 1969 . It takes the 2nd place among the subways in the world in terms of length of lines and annual passenger traffic.

NEW YORK SUBWAY The new York city subway-the largest subway in the world by the number of stations, the 7th in the world by annual passenger traffic, appeared in 1868. To date, its length is 1370 km, 472 stations.

BERLIN METRO Berlin metro-public transport of the German capital, was opened in 1902. Werner von Siemens participated in the design of the Berlin metro. At the moment, the Berlin metro network includes 173 stations and 9 lines with a length of 151 km.

ROMAN METRO The Roman metro opened in 1955 and Consists of three lines. The metro in Rome is much less developed than in other European capitals. The total length of the tracks is only 60 km, and the number of stations is 74.

KIEV METRO Kiev metro opened on November 6, ranked 29th in the world in terms of passenger traffic. Currently, the Kiev metro has 52 stations, 3 lines, the length of which is 67 km.
