Презентация по английскому языку по теме "Пути решения экологических проблем Курганской области" была выполнена обучающимся 10 а класса Тишковым Сергеем для международного конкурса презентаций "My home, My land". В данном проекте рассказывается об основных экологических проблемах нашего региона и о путях решения этих проблем.

Kurgan region is the
undisputed leader of Russia on
air pollution emissions from
stationary sources: they
constitute more than 20% of
the total number of air
pollutants
To ecology of the Kurgan region the
loss is caused by 20 billion tons of
industrial wastes. These are waste of
various enterprises. Thousands of
hectares of the earth are reserved for
storage of industrial wastes. And quite
impressive part of this waste - serious
threat of ecology of the Kurgan region
Level of heavy metals in soils near the
enterprises of iron and nonferrous
metallurgy above admissible standards.
Mining seriously broke a soil cover
and changed a natural landscape of Zauralie.
A serious environmental problem in the
Kurgan region - the fact that the
considerable number of the broken lands is
located near the city centers
Reservoirs are near the enterprises of
ferrous and nonferrous metallurgy and
become soiled heavy metals. Besides, the
water surface in the Kurgan region is
polluted. 40% of city and 95% of country
people of the Area of Zauralie have no
flowing water and collectors. As a result of
about 80% of the rivers of the Kurgan
region non drinkable, and even are polluted
by oil products
One of the most important environmental problems in the
Kurgan region is the radiation situation at the site of the
opening of the first Russian plutonium-producing complex at
Mayak in the cities of Ozersk, Kyshtym, Chelyabinsk region
and adjacent areas. After the explosion, containers with
radioactive waste in the year 1957, formed the East-Ural
radioactive trace, which is a 2000 square kilometers of
contaminated territories. More than 500 000 inhabitants of
the Chelyabinsk region were subjected to elevated exposure
to radiation. Now here are representing potential threats to
sources of pollution: Karachay (Lake that holds liquid
radioactive waste) landfills of solid industrial waste, Cascade
ponds with radioactive solutions. Inhabitants of the Kurgan
region are afraid that production of uranium will result in
even bigger radiation level
Serious danger to ecology of the
Kurgan region is a burial here of the
chemical weapon which is powerful
poison. Threat amplifies every day
when for a long time in the course of
corrosion of the exposed metal tanks
and ammunition containing toxic
substances there can be a leakage of
toxic substances and this
threat increases
To solve environmental
problems of the Kurgan
region we have to create
public reserves and
reserves of wildlife,
national parks and
natural monuments, the
water protection zones,
green areas, and also a
beach and a recreation
area. The requirement to
investigate a problem of
environmental protection
is not only in Zauralie,
but also everywhere on
our planet in general. It
is also necessary to find
new ways of the solution
of ecological problems is
a task affects all
countries of the world
Each person can
make the
contribution to
environment
protection. At our
school children
from labor group
take part in
cleaning of the
territory of school
and social object
from garbage. I
consider that it
helps to do our city
pure and beautiful
