На территории Каширского района есть платаны и леса, озера и малые реки, а также большая река Ока. Расположен на юго-востоке Московской области. Река Ока - одна из самых больших и длинных рек нашей страны. Есть много озер, которые не большие и глубокие в Каширском районе.

GEOGRAPHY Well, we can see that there are different reasons for travelling. They depend on people’s interests. Now let’s look through if travelling to our region could satisfy those who interested in geography. Kashira is very attractive town with its nature and landscape. There are planes and forests, lakes and small rivers, and the big river Oka on the territory of Kashiras region. It is situated in the south-east of Moscow region. The river Oka is one of the biggest and longest rivers in our country. There are a lot of lakes which are not large and deep in Kashira region.
HISTORY Kashira, ancient beautiful city of Moscow region, picturesquely situated on the the bank o Oka River 115km. south of Moscow. This is its location must title- Kashirka. A small river which is once flowed the Oka River, called Kashirka. It is one of the oldest towns in Moscow region and was founded in the middle of the fourteens century.
Kashira-settlement was founded on the left bank river Oka. It was well situated and quickly enlarged and turned into a small town, which had even own cloister (Troitskiy Belopesotsky cloister). It was played a part of fortress. The ancient history was rich of events and let us kept the historical l and cultural monuments. Now they are the main remarkable places in our town. As for those, who likes the ancient history, can see the archeological monument the ancient town Kashira. It belongs to Diacovskoy culture of the first millennium BC.
Now you please tell us about the climate in our region. So as Kashira is situated in the European part of Russia, it has an area climate. The territory climate conditions are defined by Atlantic and Northern winds. It characterized by long could winters and hot summers. Winter lasts 4-5 months. The weather is characterized by changes in atmospheric changes pressure, cyclones winds. The average monthly temperature doesn’t increase higher then 20 degrees C and absolute minimum falls down 30-32 degrees C . The temperature re often changes by short time thaw which is usually associated with the coming south cyclones and followed by winds and snowfalls. In spring the weather is sunny. The temperature is quickly raise. May is the warmest month of Spring. In the central part of the continent the temperature increases, summer becomes longer and the temperature can reach 30-35 degrees C. Autumn comes at the end of September and lasts 3 months. At the end of November snow covers the earth and winter season begins.
Now, what about the wildlife of our region? What interesting species live here? In the south of our region are widely spread forests with birches, fir trees, oak trees, maples and many other species of trees. There are many berries and mushrooms in the forests. There are also many birds in our forests such as owls, nightingales, thrushes, cuckoos, woodpeckers. In the early of the morning you can hear the skylark song and in the evening you can hear a nightingale. On the lakes are many ducks and goose. Of course in the forests are a lot of wild animals: wolves, hares, does, foxes and wild boars. There are a lot of lovers and medical herbs in meadows which are flowering in May and June.
The indigenous inhabitant of Kashira arе descendant Vjatychy tribe-they are Russians. Kashira is an international town. Here live people of different nationalities: the settlers from the countries of the late Soviet Union. All people live friendly and keep up Russian traditions and customs.
Shrovetide is one of the ancient Russian holiday. It begins a week before Shrove Monday and is the most cheerful of all Russian holidays. Each day Shrovetide has its own rituals. They are: Tuesday people dress for the best clothes and go out for tobogganing and pancakes. Wednesday – Mothers – in – law invite their sons – in – low to try delicious pancakes. Thursday- on this day there is more tobogganing along with plenty of fun. Friday-sons-in-low-invite their mothers-in-low to their homes for pancakes. Saturday-sisters-in-low receive guests. Sunday-the Shrovetides straw dummy is solemnly burnt as a symbol of life's victory over death.
22nd June is the longest day of the year and the Christian Church combined it with agriculture folk rites calling for good harvest, wealth and health. The night of Ivan Kupala is full of Magik. Fire plays important role in this holiday. People light big bonfires, sing songs, dance around and jump over the flames. On the night of Ivan Cupala, treers, herbs and flowers are said to gain magical power and start moving and talking to each other. In order to obtain and dry the and then use them throughout the year for medical and magical purposes.
Today the Kashira district is one of the most promising districts of the Moscow region.
The infrastructure of the sports Palace with a swimming pool, sports Club Kashira with gaming sports complex, City Park, adjacent to the forest the Cinema "Rodina" Vvedenskaya Church Kashira called the cultural, sports and educational center in Moscow region. The city has many existing sports facilities (4 of the stadium, the sports Palace "Yubileiny" sports club "Kashira"), working children and youth centres. In addition to three music schools Kashira has educational centers for the study of foreign languages, Children's ekologo-the biological centre. Guests and residents happy to take Kashirskaya Museum.
Well you see Kashira has a lot of interesting and attractive place. But how can we attract – visitors to our town? What should we do to develop tourist business in our region? What’s your opinion? - New modern hotels should be built; - Tourist routes should be worked out; - Advertisement should be shown on TV; - People, who are interested in this business should be found.
