My favorite director. Hayao Miyazaki.

Biography: • Miyazaki was born in Tokyo on January 5, 1941. During the war, his parents fled the U.S. bombing of Tokyo and settled in Utsunomiya. Father, Katsudzi Miyazaki was the director of Miyazaki Airplane, a factory for manufacturing parts for aircraft. The mother suffered from tuberculosis of the spine. In the period from 1947 to 1955, she was often in different hospitals, because of what the family had to move a lot. • In 1963 graduated from the prestigious Gakushuin University, Department of Politics and Economics. In April 1963 got a job at Toei Animation.

• In October 1965 he married a colleague Akemi Ote. Two sons: Goro and Kensuke. • Miyazaki's love of cinema in 1958, when he saw the "Legend of White Snake". He immediately decided to make painting his profession. • In the summer of 1968, he directed his first film "The Great Adventure of Horus, Prince of the Sun" which was praised by critics and shocked the world of animation. • In 1978 he set as a director his first animated series "Conan - Future Boy. " By this time began exude a unique style Hayao Miyazaki. • In 1985 he founded the studio, Ghibli, which works to this day, speaking not only as director but also as a producer.

• Kinema Junpo Awards - Best Film - "Spirited Away" (2002), Best Film - "Princess Mononoke" (1998), Best Art Direction - "Delivery Service" (1990), the best Japanese movie - "My Neighbor Totoro"(1989) , Best Film - "Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind"(1985); • Nebula - Best Screenplay - "Howl's Moving Castle"(2007); • Venice Film Festival - Golden Lion for his contribution to cinema and many other awards.
