The theme:   «Spelling bee»

The aims: 1. To check pupils’knowledge from English, Kazakh and Russian through playing

                       games, doing different tasks 
                  2. To develop pupils’ reading, speaking and thinking abilities and inlarge their

                       vocabulary. 
                  3. To bring up the pupils the lovers of language of English and teach to be attentive

                       and curiosity

     The leading: Good morning dear pupils, teachers and guests! Welcome to our intellectual show. We are glad to see you and we hope that you’ll enjoy today’s game. 
Our language is connected with our thought and sense. It appeared in antiquity. It’s close to the society’s life. All languages developed under influence of economic, political and geographical conditions. 
      Dear guests, teachers and pupils! Welcome to our competition «Spelling bee»!The pupils of 2-4th forms take part in this game. 
Well, we begin our game and let’s meet our participants. 

National competitions are held in many countries, for example in the USA, Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Mexico, Indonesia.

Spelling bee is constantly held in American schools. The winner is the one who spells most correctly the words. The educational goal of this competition is that it encourages children to read, and it also helps to expand the vocabulary.

So, your attention will be presented figures from 1 to 20, under each digit is the translation of a word, your task is that you choose any number, then give the correct translation of the desired word. If you have problems with full understanding, you can ask the organizer to give you a demonstration offer containing this word or to seek help from consultants, after which you must spell it correctly. If you make at least one mistake, you lose a point. At the end of the competition, the jury will sum up the results and determine the winner, if the situation proves to be controversial, then each team will be offered an additional word not included in the list of common words.
