Text 1. Birthday Party

How do you usually celebrate your birthday?
In England birthday parties are a lot of fun! All the children like this holiday. They bring presents and cards for the Birthday Girl or Boy. Everybody wears party hats and nice clothes.
There are always lots of tasty dishes, drinks and a birthday cake. You can see colourful balloons in the room. Children play different games and have fun. They are happy!
After that the main character blows out the candles on the birthday cake and makes a wish. Then everyone sings «Happy Birthday».Birthday is a great holiday!

Text 2. Winter activities

There are four seasons in a year. Some people like winter because of snow. In the winter in Russia it is usually very cold. There’s lots of snow. After school or at the weekend children like to play outside. They throw snowballs in the parks, make a snowman, toboggan, play hockey. Also they go skiing and skating. They can ski very fast. They enjoy this activity and  have lots of fun!

Text 3.My flat

I live in this house. It’s really big. There are two doors and lots of windows. Our garden is beautiful, with lots of trees, grass, and flowers. Playing in the garden with my friends is fun.
Our apartment has three rooms — a room where we sit and relax, a room where we sleep, and a room where we can work or study.
When it’s evening, I enjoy sitting with my mom and dad in a big arm-chair in the room where we relax. Mom often knits on a comfy sofa. Dad reads news on the phone near her.
My mom loves making things, my grandma loves reading, and dad loves watching TV shows. Gosha, he’s not inside the house. He loves having a good time in the garden with his friends.

Text 4. We Go Sightseeing

Aunt Zara came to visit us. Tomorrow dad and I will go on city tour. We’ll start from the main square. After that we’ll show her our museums and theatres. Dad has a plan to show her a big library building. This is an old and mysterious sight. After that, we’ll go to the park.
I also want to take her to take a look at underground stations; they look really nice. So, it will be a hard day. Mom will stay at home and cook something very tasty.

We swim, lie in the Sun on the beach, enjoy lemonade and soda. Also, we go to our countryside home. There we plant vegetables and flowers. Sometimes we collect mushrooms and berries in the woods. Summer is amazing! It is beautiful!

Text 6. We help mother

We help my mom about the house. My dad takes the vacuum-cleaner and cleans the carpets. I dust the furniture and water the flowers. My brother Garry mops the floors. After that Garry and I wash the dishes and clear the table. We are happy to help our dear Mummy. Our Granny makes delicious pies and biscuits.
