1. Niagara Falls is Canada's most famous natural attraction, bringing in millions of visitors each year. Located just over an hour's drive from Toronto, along the American border, these massive falls drop approximately 57 meters. Visitors can see the falls at an astoundingly close distance from the edge at their top. Niagara Falls and the Niagara Gorge have been attracting tourists and daredevils for well over a century. |

2.Banff National Park lies in the heart of the majestic Rocky Mountains in the province of Alberta and showcases some of Canada's most beautiful scenery. Turquoise green lakes, snow-capped peaks, and glaciers are all easily accessible in this stunning park. The jewel of the park is the Lake Louise, where green waters reflect the surrounding mountains and visitors can stroll easily around the shores. The Icefields Parkway that runs from Lake Louise to Jasper is an unforgettable drive and another must see in Banff. |

3.On the shores of Lake Ontario in Canada's biggest city is the iconic CN Tower, one of Canada's most famous landmarks. The tower is one of the tallest structures in the world standing 553 meters high. It offers fine dining in its revolving restaurant, 360, where visitors can enjoy a meal while looking out over the city and lake. There is also the LookOut and the Glass Floor, offering beautiful views out over the city and beyond. |

4.One of Vancouver's greatest treasures is the 405-hectare Stanley Park, conveniently located on the west side of the downtown area. Situated on a peninsula, the park is surrounded by the ocean and home to huge red cedar and Douglas fir trees. A seawall, which rings the park, has an extensive walking, jogging, and biking path with designated lanes for walkers and bikers. |

10.Stonehenge, which is literally a circle of massive grey stones in the middle of a field, is a wonderfully eerie, evocative and mysterious site. No one knows what its original purpose was. All we know is that it came into being from 3000 BC, making it one of the oldest historical sites in the world. Each stone weighs around four tonnes, and how exactly these stones were transported to this corner of western England is one of the many unanswered questions, and forms part of the magic of Stonehenge.

12.Northern Ireland’s most famous landmark and only World Heritage site, the Giant’s Causeway is an incredible natural rock formation and a must-see for any visitor. The causeway itself consists of 40,000 interlocking basalt columns and was formed in an ancient volcanic eruption – or was it? Some say it was actually carved out by a giant called Finn McCool, a Game of Thrones-worthy character from Irish mythology. 14.The Great Barrier Reef is the biggest group of coral reefs in the world. It is more than 2,000 km long and lies off the north-eastern coast of Australia. The coral that forms the reef is made up of skeletons of dead water animals called polyps . They are small but often light up in many bright colours. These colourful reefs and the bright colours of fish and other water animals make the Great Barrier Reef a beautiful underwater garden. Today, the reef is a national park which millions of tourists visit every year. But there are also many problems. Oil companies have found oil in this part of the ocean and want to start drilling , but the government is working hard to protect it.

15.The Sydney Opera House is the most famous building in the city. It has two roofs that look like sails. A masterpiece of architecture, it stands on a peninsula that reaches into Sydney Harbour. More than 6,000 people can visit concerts, operas, theatre performances and other events. The Opera House was opened in 1973. |

16.Ayers Rock is a big rock that rises over 300 metres high from the plains of the Northern Territory. It is about 2.4 km long and 1.6 km wide and it takes you almost 2 hours to walk around it. The rock is often called “Uluru”, an aboriginal name. The rock is made out of sandstone and glows red during sunrise and sunset. The Aborigines worship the rock and decorated the caves in it with paintings. Today, the land around Ayers Rock is a national park but is owned by the Aborigines.

First opened in 2002, Hobbiton is now one of the most popular tourist attractions in New Zealand, drawing in more than 350,000 visitors a year.
