Question words
• A: Where is the new sports centre?
B: In the city centre.
• A: How much did you pay for that?
B: Only 1,000 tenge.
• A: Whose trainers are these?
B: Zhazira’s. She’s taken up jogging.

NOTE
• Notice the position of the preposition:
What did the instructor talk about?
About what did the instructor talk? (more formal)
• When we make questions shorter, we usually place the preposition before the question word.
A: We have football practice tomorrow.
B: At what time?
