Positive aspects of my practice

Of the positive aspects of my practice, I can highlight that I learned a lot of new things, it was very interesting for me to sit at court hearings and I took a completely different look at the proceedings. I sat quietly and did my homework. I realised that I would not like to become a judge, I am more attracted to the position of prosecutor.

Negative aspects of my practice

Of the negative points, I can emphasise that I was very tired of sitting in one place, it was hard for me to get used to sitting at the computer all day, my back hurt and my eyes were tired. Because of this, I came home very tired, although I was just sitting at the computer. I also didn't like the fact that I had a not very clean workplace, an uncomfortable chair, old equipment. Also, the fact that when I came, the assistant judges didn't explain much to me, and I did some tasks at random, I dealt with everything on my own.

My first day in practice

On my first day, I felt a little confused. They practically didn't explain anything to me, they gave me a task and left me. I got used to the workplace, went to the court, looked at what was where. I went to the dining room, but I didn't like it very much and I brought my own food. The first day was hard, I was very tired, it was uncomfortable to sit at the computer for so long.

My last day in practice

On the last day of my practice, I already felt confident, it was sad to leave. I finished all my cases: I stitched up the volumes of court cases and wrote the minutes of the court session, at the end of the day I said goodbye to everyone, signed all the documents I needed and left.

Interesting moments of my practice

The most interesting thing that was there was attending the court sessions. There are always different cases, everyone has their own problem and it was interesting to watch the work of the participants, how the decision was made and the sentence was passed, how the interrogation was carried out. It was interesting to observe the defendants and their behaviour, some behaved calmly, some desperately, tried to justify themselves.

My conclusion

All to sum up, I can say that this is a very useful and interesting experience. I'm glad that I managed to try myself in this area and look at the process of litigation from the inside. However, after all my observations and reflections, I can say that I did not like the judge's work, it is very difficult and carries great responsibility. I liked the activities of the prosecutor, the public prosecutor more, but I did not consider it in such detail, I hope that someday I will succeed and I will be able to make an accurate conclusion.
