Teacher activity

Student activities

Organizing time

The teacher greets the students and notes the absent.

Homework check

Teacher:We have studied with you the topic "Audio coding". Answer the questions:

What is audio time sampling?

What is audio coding depth?

What is sample rate?

Write on the chalkboard a formula that links the coding depth and the number of audio levels.

How to calculate the volume of an audio file?

Pupils answer teacher questions and write formulas on the board.

Solving problems

Teacher: In the last lesson, we have already begun to solve problems with you to determine the volume of an audio file, today we will also solve problems, and then we will write an independent work.

Task 1: One minute of recording a digital audio file takes up 1.3 MB on the disk, the bit depth of the sound card is 8. What is the sampling rate of the sound recorded?

Task 2:Two minutes of digital audio recording takes up 5.1 MB on a disc. The sampling rate is 22050 Hz. What is the bit depth of the audio adapter?

Objective 3:How much storage space is required to store a high quality digital audio file when the playing time is 3 minutes?

Pupils on the blackboard and in notebooks solve problems.

Independent work

The teacher distributes the texts of independent work. 2 options for 8 tasks, questions are both theoretical and practical. This work takes 25 minutes.

The teacher supervises the work of students and after 25 minutes collects notebooks for checking.

Pupils receive notebooks for credit work, assignments for independent work, and then do the work and hand them over to the teacher for checking.

Homework

 Teacher: Repeat paragraph 1.3

So, today in the lesson we got acquainted with the processing of information, its types and with the basic concepts of the information protection process.

Pupils write down the homework assignment in their diaries.

Lesson summary

Teacher: So, today in the lesson we consolidated the skills of solving problems on the topic "Coding of audio information", and also wrote an independent work.
