Цели: развитие навыков монологической речи по теме «Каникулы»; активизация навыков чтения; тренировка навыков аудирования.

Ход урока

Организационный момент - Good morning!

-   I am glad to see you. 

-   How are you?

-   So, let's start our lesson.

II. Фонетическая зарядка

- You can see two columns of words on the blackboard. Let's read them to look                                         discos watching                                      sporty  going to                                      holidays  wonderful                                   pleasure to do                                            summer to make                                       friends reading for                                  videos  to spend                                     sports

Can you match the words from the first column and the second one to make up the word combinations?

(To look sporty, watching videos, going to discos, to do sports, to make friends, reading for pleasure,  wonderful  summer, to spend holidays )                                   

III. Работа с видеофрагментом “Interviews about holidays”. -Look at the screen, please.You will see the interviews.

-What is the theme of our lesson? (Holidays)

- Watch the video once more. What is the advantages and disadvantages of a beach holiday and a city break?

V. Совершенствование навыков монологической речи по теме «Каникулы»

- It's time to find out what type of holiday you would like to have. Let's read the task of exercise 18, page 16. You will work in groups of three. Each pupil will choose the type of the holiday and explain his or her choice. Listen to your classmates carefully and agree or disagree with them.

VI. Активизация навыков чтения

- We shall read the letter from exercise 19, page 16 to yourself and then answer two questions. You can see the questions before the letter. Let's read and translate them all together. Now use the information from the text and say what kind of person Kevin is.
