Мероприятие «Welcome to Canada» (Фестиваль Кленового листа) Предмет ­ английский язык. Класс ­ 8. Тип мероприятия ­ литературная композиция. Тема ­ «Canada». Цель: закрепление полученных знаний по страноведческому материалу. Задачи: 1. Общеобразовательные: формирование лингвострановедческой компетенции  обучающихся путем ознакомления с канадской культурой. 2. Воспитательные: воспитание интереса к английскому языку и к культуре  англоговорящих стран (в данном случае к Канаде). 3. Развивающие: развитие творческих способностей и навыков работы в команде. Инициатором проведения мероприятия были обучающиеся 8А класса.  Подготовка проводилась под руководством учителя английского языка. Универсальные учебные действия. а) личностные УУД: формирование устойчивой учебно­познавательной  мотивации и интереса к изучению культуры Канады; б) регулятивные УУД: умение самостоятельно планировать свои действия в  соответствии с поставленной задачей; в) коммуникативные УУД: формировать умение находить общее решение,  аргументировать и работать в сотрудничестве; г) познавательные УУД: развивать умение осознанно строить речевые  высказывания в устной речи. Планируемые результаты. а) предметные: ­ умение слушать и вести беседу на английском языке; ­  рассказывать об увиденном и услышанном; б) личностные: ­ научатся работать в команде, формируя чувство ответственности и  организованности; в) метапредметные:­ научатся делать выводы о традициях, обычаях и праздниках страны изучаемого  языка, выражать свое отношение к услышанному и осуществлять самопроверку  по теме. Сценарий мероприятия Ведущий: Good morning, boys and girls! Welcome to our literary show! The theme  of our presentation is « Canada: The land of Maple Leaf Festival! » (Тема  мероприятия выведена на экран).Well, let`s start our show! To begin with, I`ll ask  some questions! What do you know about Canada? (Зрители в зале отвечают на  вопрос). Предполагаемые ответы: Canada is an English­ speaking country. Canada  is situated in North America. Ведущий: Right you are! Canada is a member of the Common wealth and of course is an English – speaking country. Well, let`s continue our work. ( Ведущий уходит, на  сцену выходят обучающиеся и рассказывают о Канаде). P1. (На экране показана карта Канады, ее флаг, символ, рельеф). Обучающиеся  на английском языке: Canada is situated in North America. Its symbol is a maple  leaf and animal symbol is a beaver. The population of the country is 30 million  people. P2. Canada is a rich country. It is rich in oil, gas, nickel, zinc, copper, timber and  wood, coal, fish, gold. (На экране выведен кадр с природными ресурсами,  растительным и животным миром). P3 (Кадр с изображением университетов Канады). Canada has two official  languages ­ English and French. It is officially bilingual. The majority speak English.  Less than 1/4th of the population speak mainly French. About one sixth of all  Canadians speak other languages. Italian, German, Chinese, Portuguese. P4. Cultural life in Canada is diverse. It has its own holidays and festivals. One of the  most famous festivals is the Maple Leaf Festival. ( На экране кадры с изображением празднования фестиваля кленового листа).P1.Do you know what a maple leaf is? Of course you do! It`s on the Canadian flag.  Maple leaves come from maple trees and one particular kind of maple tree ­ the sugar  maple ­ gives Canadians their favourite sweet: maple syrup. P2. At the beginning of spring, when the days are warm but the nights are still cold,  sugar maples start to produce sap, or tree water. If you collect the sap and then boil it  for a long time, you`ll get maple syrup. P3. The boiling of sap to make maple syrup and maple sugar is one of the oldest  traditions in Canada. P4. When the «maple moon» season began, the Indians camped in maple gloves and  lived there until the sap stopped running. They cut holes in the trees and put in  wooden sprouts to guide the sap into special containers ­ mokuks. P5. The boiling of sap was very hard work, but an exciting time too. There was a  feeling of spring in the air, and the aroma of sweet maple syrup was felt everywhere. P6. Today, there are maple syrup festivals all over Canada. They usually start at the  beginning of March and last from three to six weeks. (Прилагается рецепт блюда). Pancake Recipe 100 grams of flour a pinch of salt 2 eggs 200 ml milk with 75 ml  water 2 tablespoons of melted butter or oil a little oil for frying the pancakes a cup of  maple syrup Mix the flour and the eggs with a fork. Slowly mix in the milk and water. Put a little oil in the pan. Heat the pan (very hot). Pour in one and a half tablespoons  of mixture. Cook for about 30 seconds. Turn over the pancake once. Cook for another  30 seconds. Serve with maple sugar. You can also use honey or a little sugar and  lemon juice. Ведущий: Ok, boys and girls! Your presentation today was excellent.  We see how smart you are. Now we are going to have a quiz about this beautiful  country!
