9 класс

 «My future profession ».

 

 

Класс: 9

Цель урока:  Развитие коммуникативной компетенции по теме « My future profession».

Планируемые результаты:

Предметные

Развивать умение устной речи на основе лексико-грамматического оформления речевого высказывания, умения  аргументировать ответы по проблемным ситуациям.

Совершенствовать лексические навыки по теме «Выбор профессии».

Воспитательные:

 Формировать сознательное, ответственное отношение к выбору профессии.

Познавательные – расширить кругозор по теме «Выбор профессии» Развивать умения самостоятельного искать информацию и факты в реальных условиях, в различных учебных ситуациях,  уметь анализировать и делать выводы.

Коммуникативные – развивать умение сотрудничать, воспринимать и формулировать суждения, сопоставлять свои суждения с суждениями других участников диалога, обнаруживать различие и сходство позиций.

Личностные – формировать у обучающихся ответственное отношения к своему будущему, к выбору профессии, воспитание толерантного отношения к мнению окружающих,

 

The beginning of the lesson

T: Good morning, students! Glad to see you! I’m sure that you are full of energy and ready to start our work. Are you ready to start? That's great!

The English proverb is «Every man is the Architect of his own fortune».

Task 1. Ask my questions

  • How do you understand it?
  • What does the word architect mean?
  • Can you build your own fortune?
  • Why does your fortune depend on you?
  • Do you prefer working hard or doing nothing?
  •  

T;Today we will talk about your plans for the future and choosing a career.

 

Task 2. Put the words in the right order to make a sentence.

1)      if, get, don’t, you, you, work, can, nothing

2)      of, an, own, every, is, man, his, fortune, architect

3)      is, success, very, in, achieving, English, important

 

T: Every person wants to be successful.  Success is a very important part of our life, though everyone understands it in his (or her) own way. Could you answer my  questions, please? What is success for you?

What factors are important while choosing your successful career ?

 

Task3. Look at the map of jobs, find at least two jobs that the following

people couldn’t do (use full answers)

1 “I get sea sick easily.”

2 “I can’t stand being behind a desk”.

3 “I don’t want to go to the University”.

4 “I’m not good at working with my hands”.

5 “I don’t want to work in the evenings or at weekends”.

6 “I can’t stand working shifts”.

7 “I can’t stand the sight of blood”.

 

Task4 Make up situations using the following words and word combinations

There lived two friends, one of them, work hard, Pete, visited libraries, Dick, five years passed, was the best student, a chief manager, drank much alcohol, of a large company, in prison, every man, got nothing, an architect, used drugs, of his own fortune

 

Task5  Rank industries according to their future popularity

Task 6  Read the poem

Healthy and strong, and nice.

 

T: Choosing a career is not an easy thing. Young people face a lot of difficulties when they make up their mind about the future profession.

And the last task for you is your hometask - to write a cinqwayn about today’s theme “Job”. If you forget what it is, I’ll remind you. It is a kind of poem, which consists of 5 lines (this word has French origin; cinq means five in French). The first line is a general word, the second line consists of two adjectives which describe this word, the third line includes 3 verbs on the topic, the fourth line is the main idea of your “poem” (It must consist of 3-4 words) and the last line is a synonym of the general world (job). Read aloud your cinqwayns, when you are ready. (Students write and read cinqwayns).
