Вы держите в руках пособие, цель которого помочь  вам научиться правильно использовать в устной речи и письме  прошедшее  неопределенное (простое) время (the Past Indefinite (Simple)Tense), а также правильно задавать вопросы и правильно на них отвечать.

Это время может называться двумя способами или прошедшее неопределенное (the Past Indefinite), или простое прошедшее (the Past Simple), но от этого его суть не меняется.

 

КАК РАБОТАТЬ С ПОСОБИЕМ:

THE PAST INDEFINITE (SIMPLE) TENSE

Неопределенное (простое) прошедшее время

 

Неопределенное (простое) прошедшее время употребляется:

v для выражения повторяющегося действия или признака предмета в прошлом:

I always got good marks when I went to school. — Когда я ходил(а) в школу, я всегда получал(а) хорошие оценки.

 

v для выражения действий и событий, имевших место в прошлом:

Our family lived in a small house. — Наша семья жила в маленьком домике.

 

Формальным признаком прошедшего времени являются следующие слова и словосочетания:

• last + единица времени last year - в прошлом году

·        last month — в прошлом месяце last week - на прошлой неделе

 

• обратите внимание, что в отличие от русского я зыка, в английском не требуется никаких предлогов

 

• единица времени + ago an hour ago - час назад

two days ago - два дня назад

four weeks ago — четыре недели назад

some months ago - несколько месяцев назад

ten years ago - десять месяцев назад

a long time ago, long ago - давным-давно, давно

not long ago — недавно

 

• yesterday - вчера

 

• a day before yesterday - позавчера

 

• during + событие

during the war - во время войны

during the lesson - во время урока

during the holiday - во время отпуска

 

• а, также наречия и словосочетания, которые вы знаете после изучения Present Indefinite Tense, но которые будут употребляться в контексте прошедшего времени (always, often, never, usually, on Monday, in September, in 1987)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Образование The Past Indefinite Tense

 

v   Утвердительная   форма   прошедшего   времени   правильных   глаголов

образуется путем прибавления окончания - ed к основе глагола.

 

Окончание - ed произносится:

а) после звонких согласных (кроме d) и гласных - как звук [d]

to open - opened

to answer - answered

to play - played

 

б) после глухих согласных (кроме t) - как звук [t]

to work - worked

to finish - finished

 

в) после согласных t и d - как звук [id]

to last - lasted

to intend - intended

 

При образовании прошедшего времени неправильных глаголов соблюдаются следующие правила орфографии:

 

а) если глагол оканчивается на немую букву - е, то при прибавлении окончания - ed, она опускается:

to live - lived

 

б) глаголы, основа которых оканчивается на -у с предшествующей согласной, меняют у на i:

to study - studied

Если перед —у стоит гласная буква, то -у сохраняется

to stay - stayed

 

в) глаголы, оканчивающиеся на согласную с предшествующим кратким гласным звуком, удваивают конечную согласную:

to stop - stopped

 

v     Форма прошедшего времени неправильных глаголов соответствует второму столбику таблицы неправильных глаголов.

to do - did

to go - went

to write - wrote

v Отрицательная форма как правильных, так и неправильных глаголов образуется при помощи вспомогательного глагола did, отрицательной частицы not и инфинитива смыслового глагола без частицы to, причем частица not ставится после вспомогательного глагола (см. таблицы). В разговорной речи часто употребляется сокращенная отрицательная форма didn't

He did not speak.

I did not work.

She didn't know.

 

v    Вопросительная форма как правильных, так и неправильных глаголов образуется при помощи вспомогательного глагола did и инфинитива смыслового глагола без частицы to, причем вспомогательный глагол ставится перед подлежащим (см. таблицы)
