Active learning  Start Middle End   1. Brainstorming.   Method: Imagine.  Learners look at the  picture and guessing the  part of the animals  bodies. 2. Regrouping. Learners are divided in  two groups according to  these flashcards.    3. Pre­teach ( video) Introduce the  vocabulary Learners listen and  repeat domestic and wild  animals. 4. Game: “ Memory of animals” In that game cards places face down  and  players try to collect pairs of   matching cards.  They must match the  words  with the pictures.    5.  5 W Questions .   Learners will answer to the questions . 6. True or False strategy.  Read the statements about animals and  write T or F. 7. Make a poster  1st group – domestic animals.  2nd group – wild animals. (Each group choose one animal and describe it  according to its: colour, size, food, character,  habitat . 8. Read and match. A learner  will read  words and match with  pictures of animals. 9. Reflection “ Poster” After the lesson   learners  will stick the stickers on  the poster. If it was difficult stick –  a cloud,  if  it was clear – a  sun,  if it was interesting ­  a flower, if they want to  have such lesson once  again – a leaf.

Differentiation By tasks Whole class: Teacher  may support by putting  questions of eliciting.  Teacher asks some  questions providing with  guessing. Pair work: Matching  words  with pictures by  less support which  followed by worksheets. Group work: Teacher  may support by giving  prompts and it would  allow learners to  understand instructions.   By levels of  learners Less able students –  pronounce basic words  denoting to animals, answer the simple  questions on the topic  «animals» More able students –  try to speak about  animals, describe аnіmals  using the new vocabulary  with  teacher’s support Some students­   respond to specific  questions with support,  describe animals without  support. By types of  learners. Auditory (listen to the video,  listening to the  instruction, asking the  questions, answer the  questions) Visual. (watching the video,  matching the pictures  with words) Kinesthetic (make a poster, writing  “True or False” strategy,  matching pictures with  words, using flashcards)

Reflection        During a course   I have learned  updated curriculum   prоgramme,  kinds of active learning,  how to write and to dо  course  plan,  how to make  learning   and lesson objectives,  hоw to assess learners Microteaching.    Through exchanging the  experiences with my  colleagues in Micro ­  teaching  I’ve learned:   Different types of active  learning strategies and  methods of formative and  summative assessment; Micro – teaching helped  me encourage critical  thinking and  I knew how  to use feedback in  planning process. In future In my  future practice  I will use these all  techniques in my  lesson. It helps me to  make  my  future   experience  more   effective. I think using   the  most effective    methods and  techniques  improve  success of my learners.
