The flag of the Chuvash Republic has stylized tree of life, a symbol of rebirth, with the three suns, a traditional emblem popular in Chuvash art.
Deep red stands for the land, the golden yellow stands for prosperity.

There are many theatres and museums in Cheboksary. In the middle of the city there is a beautiful bay. Cheboksary has also beautiful boardwalks and beaches along the Volga river where people swim in summer.

The flag of the Republic of Buryatia is a tricolour consisting of horizontal bands of blue, white and yellow Mongol symbol on the blue band.
There are many old historical buildings I the centre of Ulan Ude. The city has the Ethnographic museum of the peoples of Transbaikal, one of the largest open-air museums of Russia.

Lake Baikal is the largest (by volume) freshwater lake in the world, containing 20% of the world’s unfrozen surface fresh water. It is also the deepest lake in the world (1, 642 m). It is about 25 million years old.
