England  England is one of the States located on the territory of the island of Great Britain. Its area is 129634 sq km, considerably higher than that of the other States members of the United Kingdom. This factor determines the importance and primacy of this country in British history. England occupies 2/3 of the UK and borders Scotland in the North and Wales in the West. The main rivers of the Kingdom are: the Thames, the Severn, the Clyde, the Tweed, the Trent.

Forests Initially, a large part of England and the UK as a whole was occupied by deciduous forest. The Celtic population that lived in those territories in those times, was especially fond of oaks. It was thought that trees were the main conduit between the worlds of the living and the dead, therefore, tree species were treated with special awe and padeniem. But in the 5th century, the current land of great Britain was conquered by the Anglo-Saxon tribes, with the consequence that all the forests were cut down under arable land. It is home to more than 200 species of birds, many of which are migratory. The main representatives of the winged in England are crows, finches, sparrows, starlings, Tits, kingfishers and raspberries. And in the waters of the island are suitable for breeding and habitat of salmon, trout, cod, herring and haddock. In the waters of the British Isles there are species such as: coal fish, sprat, mackerel, merlan and sardines.
