New Year
The new year always gives us
hope for the best, gives a lot of
gifts and pleasant emotions. In
this period we can easily be
heroes of a fairy tale. We all
remember childhood, perceiving
what is happening around the
eyes of a child. Everyone wants
to believe in Santa Claus and the
snow maiden, who will come to
visit us and that somewhere far
away, in cold area's a beautiful
snow Queen. Some will disagree
with me, but in my heart it is. And
the blame for everything the New

The history of the New
Year
The New year carries the most vivid
feelings and is associated with hope,
love and support. This holiday, like most
others, is rooted in antiquity. On this
day, all are fun to be with and welcome
the year so that the charm of new
year's eve was memorable for a very
long time. Only since 1700 Russian Tsar
Peter I issued a decree to celebrate the
New year according to the European

sang songs and danced. The Magi foretold the
future, and the girls wondered at her spouse. But,
the main thing is all went to each other's homes.
So, going into the house during a celebration at the
table of our ancestors could see the pies in oil,
dumplings, porridge with honey, mushrooms stuffed
with goose and pudding. And after the meal the
guests were definitely treated to a sweet drink
suritsa. The tradition of decorating the Christmas
tree went from pre-Christian times. In this ritual
there is a deep ritual meaning: festive fir tree is a
symbol of the World tree, the so-called Axis Mundi,
connecting heaven and earth( at its branches, in
craze, is inhabited by the spirits of ancestors).
Therefore, decorating the tree with sweets, we give
gifts to them. But that's just barely alive, growing in
the ground. To cut down the tree was strictly
forbidden, one could only cut the branches. What
prevents us to make garland from dried fruit, bake
cookies in the form of birds, animals, houses and
hang them on the live Christmas tree in the woods,
in the country or Park near the house? And when
