English in tests”
- осознание функций иностранного языка в учебном процессе и в обществе;
- сознание значений языковых явлений, другой системы понятий, посредством которой воспринимается действительность;
- понимание особенностей собственного мышления;
- сопоставление иностранного языка с родным;
- овладение знаниями о культуре, истории, реалиях и традициях страны, язык которой изучается (страноведение, лингвострановедение);
- положительного отношения к иностранному языку как средству общения, уважения к народу, носителя этого языка, толерантного отношения к его культуре, обычаям и образу жизни;
- культуры общения, принятой в современном цивилизованном мире;
- эмоционально-ценностного отношения ко всему, что нас окружает;
- речевых, интеллектуальных и познавательных способностей;
- готовности участвовать в иноязычном общении;
- желание к дальнейшему самосовершенствованию в области владения иностранным языком;
- разнообразить виды учебной деятельности;
- приблизить обучающее общение к реальным условиям;

The Flag of the United Kingdom is the Union Flag, also called “Union Jack”. It was created by the superimposition of the Flag of England (St George’s cross) the Flag of Scotland (St Andrew’s cross) and St Patrick’s Flag in 1801. Wales is not represented in the Union Flag as Wales had been conquered and annexed to England prior to the formation of the United Kingdom.

He collected everything: coins, sculptures, pictures, stones, ancient things. But he died in 1753 and the King bought his collection for £ 20,000. That was the beginning of the British museum. It is situated in London in Great Russell Street. There are more than thirteen million objects at the British Museum nowadays.
You can visit the great Reading Room which is circular in shape. The Reading Room is in the center of the museum. Many famous scientists and writers worked here. Among them are Oscar Wilde, Bram Stoker, Rudyard Kipling, Bernard Shaw, Mark Twain, Charles Darwin and many others.
Nowadays, there are many wonderful collections in the British museum, from ancient Egyptian mummies to masterpieces of Greek and Roman art.
