Урок 81. Дискуссия по теме «Толерантность»

Цели: формирование навыков монологической речи; обучение письменной речи (письмо официального характера); совершен­ствование навыков чтения и аудирования.

Ход урока

I.  Организационный момент

-                      Today we shall take part in a discussion about tolerance.

II.  Речевая разминка. Закрепление грамматических навыков в устной речи (условные придаточные предложения)

-                      I'd like you to look at the pictures on the blackboard. Read the beginning of the sentence and finish it, please. What would children do if the weather were good tomorrow? Share your ideas, please. What would you have done if the weather had been good yesterday?

«If the weather had been good yesterday, ...» или «When the lessons were over, ...». Задание для учащихся: составить слож­ноподчиненные предложения с придаточными предложениями условия или времени.

III.  Фонетическая зарядка

-                     You can see two columns of words on the blackboard. Will you read them aloud, in a whisper? Let's read them after Mike. Can you match the words from the first column and the second one to make up the word combinations?

IV. Проверка домашнего задания. Контроль навыков монологической речи и письменной речи

-                  It's time to check your hometask. I hope you are ready to read or to tell us the stories on tolerance. Who will be the first?

Задание для всех учеников - прослушать истории одноклассников и вы­брать самый необычный (смешной, занимательный) рассказ.

V. Совершенствование навыков чтения

-                  I'd like you to open your textbooks, page 147, exercise 147. You will read the letter from this exercise and answer the questions before the letter. Have you finished? Do you know who wrote the letter? Why does Elena Golovko write this letter? What does she want you to do?

Задание для учеников - прочитать письмо про себя и ответить на вопросы перед текстом. На чтение текста отводится 2-3 минуты.

Дополнительные вопросы:

1.             Will you accept the invitation?

2.              Would you like to be a host or a guest?

3.              What would you like to talk about?

4.              Why have you chosen this topic?

5.              Do you know any quotes and sayings about tolerance?

6.              Can you give any practical advice on being tolerant? Etc.

Также на данном этапе урока учитель объясняет детям домаш­нее задание на следующий урок - написать ответ Елене, используя план письма из упр. 148, стр. 148 из учебника. Письменное домаш­нее задание выполняется учениками в рабочих тетрадях — упр. 22, стр. 65.

VII.  Совершенствование навыков аудирования

-                 As you know, before the beginning of the show the producer usually speaks to the participants. We shall listen to the producer of the talk show. The guests are invited to take part in a discussion about tolerance. You can see the picture and three variants in exercise 149, page 148 in your textbooks. Which statement is true? We shall listen to the text again and tick the phrases the producer advises to use.

упр. 149, стр. 148 из учебника и выполнить задание из дан­ного упражнения. Второе прослушивание аудиотекста проводится с целью выполнения задания из упр. 150, стр. 148.

VIII.  Формирование навыков монологической речи

-                  If you are a talk show participant, you will be asked to tell people your opinion on tolerance. Let's use the word combinations from exercise 151, page 148 and share your ideas. Get ready to ask some questions to other participants. You will work in two groups. Your time is up.

Ученики делятся на 2 группы с целью обсуждения проблем по теме «Толерантность». Во время работы в группах учащиеся используют речевые клише из упр. 151, стр. 148.

1               группа - Is tolerance especially important today? Why/why not?

2              группа - Is it possible to be always tolerant in everyday life? Why/why not?
