Цели: формирование навыков письменной речи (официальное письмо); закрепление навыков чтения и орфографии; совершен­ствование орфографических навыков по теме «Профессии»..

III.  Совершенствование орфографических навыков по теме «Профессии»

1.          Look at the blackboard, please. Put the letters in the following words in the correct order and read the names of the professions.

IV. Активизация навыков чтения. Активизация материала по теме «Профессии»

Задание – по описанию определить род деятельности (профессию) человека

1.                 My name is Mary Brown. My dream is to live in the country far from a big city. I'd like to work with animals. I love them. I help our science teacher in the lab. (A vet.)

2.                 My name is Susan Crawford. I'd like to start working as soon as possible as my family needs my financial support. My relatives say that I'm quite sociable. I finished medical school last year. I'd like to go into the service or work with children. (A babysitter, a nurse.)

3.                 My name is Kate Morrison. My parents want me to work as a teacher but it's not my first choice. I like reading and working with books. I think that I'm a bookworm. I'm good at writing, languages and literature. (A librarian.)

4.                  My name is Robert Smith. I'm not very good at dealing with people. I like working with machines. I have a driving licence. I have been driving for 2 years. I don't like the idea of going to university. (A driver, a mechanic.)

VI.  Закрепление навыков чтения на материале объявлений

I am sure, you have seen different advertisements in the newspapers and magazines. Look at the adverts from exercise 25, page 163, read them and say which of them attracts you. Why does the first advert attract you?

VII.  Обучение написанию официального письма

Last week we learnt to fill in the CV with the information about yourself. But it is not enough if you are going to apply to a college.

People often write letters to schools and colleges if they want to study there. Shall we write a formal letter or an informal one? You are right. We shall learn to write a formal letter. Exercise 26, page 163 in your Activity Books will help you.

Для поступления в колледж (школу, на курсы) или устройства на работу необходимо научить­ся писать официальное письмо. В качестве опоры используется образец письма из упр. 26, стр. 163 в учебнике. Ученики пишут письмо под руководством учителя. Важно повторить с учащимися правильное написание адреса и правила оформления официаль­ного письма. VIII. Подведение итогов урока

Домашнее задание Рабочая тетрадь: упр. 12, стр. 71; дописать официальное письмо.
