Scientific and educational lesson "Chemistry of metals, s-and p-elements" - SUBSTANCES AND their PROPERTIES-LESSON PLANS for CHEMISTRY 11 class - lesson plans-lesson plans-author's lessons-plan-lesson summary - chemistry

The purpose of the lesson: to teach you to make short reports based on the main characteristics of metals of the main subgroups, working with additional scientific and educational literature, to expand the theoretical knowledge of the material being studied and the Outlook.

Equipment: student messages in the form of abstracts or thematic Newspapers.

Lesson progress

I. Organizational moment

Setting goals and tasks for the lesson.

Recommendations for the teacher

Students took the topics of messages in the first lesson of studying the topic "Substances and their properties".

The teacher should familiarize himself with the content of students ' abstract messages and make a plan to listen to them consistently:

1. Alkali metals (group I, main bribe).

2. Alkaline earth metals (group II, the main subgroup).

3. Metals of group III, the main subgroup.

4. Metals of group IV, the main subgroup.

In the presence of reagents, it is desirable to experimentally confirm the chemical properties of simple substances — metals and some compounds formed by these metals (especially qualitative reactions to cations),

When preparing messages, students can join groups of 2-3 people and protect the message together.

II. Listening to and discussing student messages

Plan messages in the order of their logical sequence

1. History of discovery of elements. Title. Being in nature, receiving.

2. Features of the structure of atoms, the degree of oxidation.

3. Features of physical properties ofSTV PRof other substances-metals. Chemical bond, crystal lattice.

4. Features of chemical properties.

5. Critical areas of change in pure form and in the form of compounds.

III. Summarizing the lesson results

It is carried out by the teacher, giving the appropriate assessment and inviting some students to continue working on the topic and to speak at a scientific and practical conference (if it is held in a school).

IV. Homework assignment

§ 18 № 11 (1, 2, 3), complete the transformation schemes on a separate sheet (for evaluation).
