The purpose of the work:

Tasks:

1) Choose schools that are nearby school №142

2) Systematize English schools located in Pervomaisky district and nearby

3) Find out the rating of schools

Hypothesis: if a child learns a foreign language, he/she will be successful and participate in various language Olympiads in future

The result of the project:

Introduction.

Relevance of the topic

To my mind, school is an attractive place for students who do well in most subjects, for those who don’t it is boring and uninteresting.  In my opinion, the worst thing about school is homework. It took so much time that there was hardly any time for anything else. Teachers play an important role in education.  There are a lot of interesting subjects which are studied at schools. One of them is English. Why? Because the modern world is becoming smaller all the time. Every day distances between different countries seem less. That's why it's becoming more and more important to know different languages.

Some young people learn languages for their studies, others for travelling abroad and for some teens studying a language is simply a hobby.

English has become the standard language for all kinds of communication.

If you are fluent in a foreign language you feel more comfortable. You can learn more and you will have access to a wider range of jobs and occupations in the future.

I chose this topic because extracurricular English classes are becoming very popular nowadays. I often wonder how all the varieties of foreign language schools are differ.

 My goal is to find out what varieties of English classes exist.

Many people face a problem when choosing a place to study English , so I want to sort this out and compare the rating of schools , let's get started.

School №142 is a secondary comprehensive school, which is within a walking distance from my place. The four-storey school building is quite ordinary with a stadium behind it. There are about 1400 pupils in our school, 1245 students learn English.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Types of educational institutions for learning English.

English is a West Germanic language in the Indo-European language family, with its earliest forms spoken by the inhabitants of early medieval England. It is named after the Angles, one of the ancient Germanic peoples that migrated to the island of Great Britain. Existing on a dialect continuum with Scots and then most closely related to the Low German and Frisian languages, English is genealogically Germanic. However, its vocabulary also shows major influences from French (about 28% of Modern English words) and Latin (also about 28%), plus some grammar and a small amount of core vocabulary influenced by Old Norse (a North Germanic language). Speakers of English are called Anglophones.

Comprehensive schools

 In elementary grades of secondary schools, English lessons are given 2 hours a week. In the middle tier, English lessons are given 3 hours a week. In high school, 4 hours a week.

Schools with advanced study of English

In schools with in-depth study of English in primary grades, 3-4 hours a week are given. Middle and high school classes are engaged in English 5-6 hours a week.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Language schools

A language school is a school where one studies a foreign language. Classes at a language school are usually geared towards, for example, communicative competence in a foreign language. Language learning in such schools typically supplements formal education or existing knowledge of a foreign language.

Students vary widely by age, educational background, work experience. They usually have the possibility of selecting a specific course according to their language proficiency. According to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), there are six language levels that define student language proficiency based on their speaking, writing and reading skills. Students will be then assigned to the course that matches their skills.

There are quite a large number of language schools in Novosibirsk. Therefore, I have compiled a list of the most popular schools in Novosibirsk

The school practices a personal approach and takes into account your goals in learning English, age and personality characteristics.

5.     Language School “Юнисити”

The school was founded in 1998 and offers a full program of language education in accordance with the international standard CEFR. In addition to studying in Novosibirsk, the school offers language programs in different countries: from the UK to New Zealand.
