‘ENGLISH  PARTY’                            ‘ MERRY  CHRISTMAS’                             of the 5th forms 28.12.2016 GERDA CHRIS MARY JOSEPH TOGETHER: Hello to everybody! Dear friends, guests and teachers! Nice to see you.  Today we have a very interesting party: Merry Christmas. Chris: I am Chris. Gerda: I am Gerda. Mary: I am Mary. Joseph: I am Joseph. Chris: You will be actors. Gerda: Be artistic, active, expressive. Mary: I wish you success. Joseph: Today we are going to tell you about a wonderful holiday. It’s Christmas. Chris: Christmas is here!            The day is so clear, Gerda: The snow is so white              The day is so bright. Mary: We shout with all might Together: Merry Christmas! Loseph: A song ‘ Jingle bells’ (Abdrakhmanova F.I.­5V,G,E) Chris: Christmas is the greatest holiday of the year. People always wait for it with              special touching feeling and expectations. And what do you know about            Christmas?       Gerda: I know that Christmas is a favourite holiday for English people, especially for             children.  Mary: Christmas is a religious holiday. They celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. Joseph: Christmas is a family holiday. Families gather for traditional Christmas               dinner.    Chris: People decorate the Christmas tree and their houses; send Christmas cards to  their  relatives and friends. Gerda: Be good and hell bring you everything in your Christmas alphabet! Chris: A song ‘Christmas Alphabet’ ( Mairams J.A.­5V,5D) Mary: People in different countries celebrate Ghristmas on the 25th of December.            Russian people also celebrate this holiday.  Joseph: Yes, they celebrate Christmas on the 7th  of January. Mary: People sing carols and dance in December. Joseph: Dancing pairs, painted wings              Things I almost remember              And a song someone sings              Once upon a December Mary: A song ‘ Once upon a December’ ( Antonova M.A.­5 D)    Gerda: Chris, what Christmas and New Year traditions do you know? Chris: There are a lot of them. It’s a big Christmas tree, Father Christmas, cards,              mistletoe, wreath on the door and presents. Gerda: And what do want to have for Christmas? Chris: I want to have a hippopotamus . Cerda: A song ‘ I want to have a hippopotamus for Christmas’( Antonova M.A.,                                                                                                        Safronova S.V.) Mary: We decorated the Christmas tree  and hung Christmas wreath on the door of            our house yesterday.   Joseph:  Are you tired? It’s time to do the Hokey Pokey! Mary: A song’Christmas Hokey Pokey’(Mustafina R.R.­5A,5B) Gerda: At night Father Christmas comes. He puts the presents for children in their             stockings and under the tree. Chris: I know. Last year I got a big robot. I was very glad. Gerda: As for me I prefer sweets. And I like the traditional Christmas dinner.             My mum usually cooks the roast turkey with carrots, potatoes, peas.             After the turkey, there is the Christmas pudding, too. Chris: My family celebrate the New Year holiday. It’s one of the most popular            celebrations in the year. New Year is a family holiday. It’s the time when all             the family gets together round the New Year tree decorated  with toys and             sweets. Cerda:  And little children believe that when they fell asleep Father Frost will come               and bring them New Year presents. It’s the Happy New  Year. We have               parties with music, dances, games and songs.      Chris: A song ‘Happy New Year’( AntonovaM.A., Safronova S.V.)   Mary: A happy New Year for me,            A happy New Year for you, A happy New Year for everyone!            That’s what I wish­ I do! Chris: Have a holly, jolly Christmas,            It’s the best time of the year Gerda: A song ‘ Holly Jolly Christmas’( Antonova M.A.­5G) Mary: Deck the halls with boughs of holly            This is the season to be jolly Joseph: Fast away the old year passes,              Hail the new, ye lads and lasses Mary:  A song ‘Deck the halls’( Zubareva V.N.) Mary: We can make a beautiful Christmas            We can make the world shine bright Joseph:  As long friends and family are with us               Every star will shine tonight Mary:  A song “Beautiful Christmas: ( Zubareva V.N.)
