Geographic location Northern Ireland is a part of the United Kingdom in the north- east of the island of Ireland, variously described as a country, province or
Area Northern Ireland occupies one sixth of Ireland throughout the area , but there lives one third of the population of the island.
Climate Northern Ireland is mild with warm winters Climate of and cool summers.
There are many beautiful landscapes in Northern Nature Ireland.
The rolling hills surround the central lowlands. Loch Ness is the largest lake in the British Isles is situated there.
Giant Causeway The area of about 40,000 basalt columns formed by an ancient volcanic eruption. Located on the North East Northern Ireland 3 km to the North from the town of Bushmills. Most of the columns are hexagonal, some four, five, seven, and eight corners. The highest column height of about 12 m.
Agricultural products The main agricultur al products are eggs, milk, meat, bacon, oats, barley and potatoes .
Industry Industry is concentrated in the areas of major ports. Northern Ireland has lignite, iron ore, limestone , sand and gravel.
Transport Most residents move their cars. Public transport - buses . There are two airports, railway station and port.
Belfast since 1921 Belfast is the capital of Northern Ireland
There is also a library Linen Hall, which holds the main treasures of Irish Literature .
