The aim of the lesson: Educational:- to learn to describe people : to learn some adjectives used to describe the body . Developing: to enable pupils to say how people look like;-to develop reading ,listening and speaking skills. Socio-cultural:-to raise awareness of describing people’s appearance. Type of the lesson : non-standard, mixed. Method of the lesson: group work , pair work. Equipment: Pupils book ,workbook, pictures , Computer. Competence: SC and PC in speaking about appearance Learning outcomes :By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to- describe people’s appearance ; - use some adjectives to describe the body.

The procedure of the lesson: 1.Organizing moment :-Greeting . -Checking the register. Who is on duty today? -I am on duty today Who is absent today? -All are present. What is the weather like today? It is sunny. -Checking homework. 2.Pre-Activity Activity 1listen and repeat 5 min Objectives: to introduce the unit topic; to warm up Step1: I ask the pupils to listen to the song and say what this song is about . Play the DVD. Step2: play the DVD again and ask them to repeat the song .

3.Mainpart Activity 2a Listen and repeat Objectives : to present some adjectives used to describe the appearance Step1: I will ask the pupils to look at the illustrated words Check they know the meaning of the words . E.g Is my hair blond ? Is my hair curly ? Is Anora’s hair short and long ? Is Bahodir’s hair straight or curly? Step2: I ask them to repeat them after I or the DVD Activity2b Complete the sentences Objectives :To revise the learnt material using the new words 1. Roma has curly and blond hair . 2. Lina has long and blond hair . 3.Jessica has straight and dark hair .

Activity 2c Work in pairs .Listen and say . E.g A:She has short, straight , dark hair . B: Barno. Activity 3Look at Zizi. Read and choose the words . Objectives: to practice reading for detailed information I ask the pupils to read the text. The should look at the picture of the robot and choose the correct word for each sentence .This activity can also be done in the DVD. Another option gives the opportunity to listen to the text with the answers.

4 Consolidation Activity 4 read ad draw Objective: to practise reading for detailed information I ask the pupils to read the description of the robot ‘s head and draw it in their exercise books Extra activities 1) I ask pupils to go to the board. They should listen to me and draw a robot on the board .i give short sentences e.g. The robot has a round head .It has a big mouth ,etc.
