The aim of the lesson: Consolidation of lexical and grammar material on the theme “My Home”.
Tasks of the lesson:
1.Instructive -revision of the lexis on the theme
- consolidation of usage of grammar structure “There is/are”
2.Developing - developing pupils’ dialogical and speaking habits
- developing language skills and interest to the languages
3. Educative- formation pupils’ aesthetic taste
- love for their home
Expected results.
By the end of the lesson pupils will be able to speak about their homes using structures “ There is/are” working individually and in groups.
Visual aids: White Board; electronic book;presentations;phlipcharts;video;stickers

Procedure of the lesson.
I.Warming up.Introduction to the lesson. (slide1,2)
II. “Joy circle” a movement song “If you happy” (slide3)
Emotional preparation for the lesson.
Teacher’s note.( slide 4)
Before starting the main part of the lesson the teacher inform pupils about their marks:for each answer the pupil will be given a sticker.
8-10 stickers-“5”; 5-8 stickers-“4”; less than 5- “3”
III.Phonetic drill. Read the sounds and the words.(slide5) T-Cl-P
Read the words on the theme paying attention to the sounds.
IV. Consolidation of the words on the theme “ Home”
1. Look and say what pictures you see (slide 6)
Pupils’ anawers:atable, a TVset,a carpet,asofa,a picture, an armchair,a chair
2. Work with electronic book(“Baiterek” 4thform ,theme “Home,sweet home”Activity 1). Put the furniture into the room (slide7)
3. Write what can you see in the room (“Baiterek” 4th form;theme “Home,sweet home”Activity2). (slide8) ( Look notes at the end)
4. Put the letters in these words in the right order and find out the words on the topic “My house” (Slide9)

VI. Grammar. Revision of the grammar structure “ There is/are”
1.Revision of the rule. Look and revise.
a) Affirmative sentences (slide 11)
b) Negative sentences (slide 12)
c) Question-Answer (slide 13)
2.Look and describe. What is there in the room? (slide14)
3.Listen and repeat. “Where is the bee?” (slide 15)
3.Q-AW P1-P2 Is there a table in the room?-Yes, there is.(No, there isn’t) etc

4.Write.Put in “is” or “are” .One pupil is at the W-Board ,others are doing in their
copy-books.The task is given with the element of “ curtain”.(шторка )When it opens the pupils see the right answers and check themselves and the pupil at the board.

VII. Describe the pictures.Work in groups.
On each pupil’s place there is a sticker of three colours :blue, red and green. So, pupils make up three groups according to their colour. .Each group is given a picture to describe. Pupils should use words on the theme in structures “There is/are”.
VIII. Marks. Teacher counts the number of stickers of each pupil and gives the mark according to criteria given before.
IX. Home task. Draw a picture of your room and describe it.
X.Give your mark for the lesson. I like it.
I don’t like it.
It was boring.
XI.Conclusion. At this lesson you’ve learned how to describe rooms using words on the theme and grammar structure “There is/are”.
