Паспорт проектной работы по теме: «Животный мир».

Тип проекта: ролево-творческий.

Тема: «Животный мир».

Учебный предмет: английский язык.

Учебные дисциплины, близкие к теме проекта: биология, география.

Участники: ученики пятых классов. 

Цель: создание географических карт: животный мир Европы и Азии, Австралии, Антарктики и Америки; разработка сценария игры: «Зов джунглей».

Общеучебные умения и навыки: развитие творческих способностей учащихся, умение вступать в диалог, задавать вопросы, развитие навыков -монологической речи.

Необходимое оборудование: CD, карты, картинки животных, игрушки, загадки и др.

Продукт: рисованные карты с картинками животных, сценарий игры-соревнования: «Зов джунглей».

ХОД УРОКА

1. Организационный момент.

Teacher: Good morning I'm glad to see you. How are you?

Before we start our lesson let's do our gymnastics because today we must be strong and brave:

Hands up, hands down

Hands on hips, sit down.

Hands up, to the sides

 Bend - left, bend - right

1, 2, 3 — hop, 1, 2, 3 — stop. Stand still!

2. Основная часть.

1. Подготовка к соревнованиям.

 Teacher: Today will have an unusual lesson. We'll speak, play games, sing songs, recite poems, guess riddles about animals. Let's play the game: "The call of jungle" in the form of the competition. Let's divide our group into two teams: Team N 1 — травоядные; Team N 2  — хищники. Let`s choose the referee. Who will be the captains?

P1: I am. My name is Kate.

P2: I am. My name is Stas.

Teacher: Captains, come here and take a piece of paper.

Kate, read, please. (Kate is reading.)

Teacher: Stas, read, please. (Stas is reading.)

Teacher: So, team 1 — is ... , team 2 is ... .

Now, the rules are very simple: when team N  ... wins it'll get a banana, when team N . ... wins it'll get a bone.

Teacher: Let's start our game.

Competition 1.

 Teacher: The first competition is for captains. Captains, come here, please. Greet each other and then ask questions to each other.

Dialogue:

P1: - Hello.

 P2: - Hi.

P1: - I'm glad to see you.

P2: - I'm glad to see you too.

P1: - How are you?

 P2: - Fine, thanks. And you?

P1: - I'm O'K, thank you.

P2: - What is your name? My name is ... . What is your name?

P1: - My name is ... . How old are you?

P2: - I am ... . How old are you?

P1: - I'm . Where are you from?

 P2: - I'm from Russia, Nizhnevartovsk. And you?

 P1: - I'm from Nizhnevartovsk too. What are you?

P2: - I'm a schoolboy (schoolgirl). What are you?

P1: - I am a schoolgirl (schoolboy). What is your hobby?

P2: - My hobby is playing with a cat. What is your hobby?

P1: - My hobby is playing computer games. What can you do?

P2: - I can do many things. I can read, write, speak English. I can sing and dance. What can you do?

P1: - I can watch TV, play football. I can swim.

P2: Oh, sorry. It's time to finish.

P1: O'K.

A song: "Tomorrow on Sunday".

Teacher: That will do. The captains are very clever and brave. Before the second competition let's go to the Zoo to see animals. Please, sing a song: "Tomorrow on Sunday":

Tomorrow on Sunday we'll go to the Zoo

Tomorrow (2) we'll go to the Zoo.

There is a giraffe there and a yellow lion too.

A bear and a monkey, and a big elephant too.

Tomorrow on Sunday we'll go to the Zoo.

Tomorrow (2) we'll go to the Zoo.

There is there a walrus, and a stripy tiger too,

A zebra and a donkey, and a baby kangaroo.

Teacher: How well you can sing! Dear boys and girls, what animals can you see in the Zoo?

 Look at the picture and repeat after me. (Class is repeating.)

 Teacher:  Referee, can you tell the results of the first competition of the captains?

Team N2 1 - gets I banana. Team N2 2 - gets 2 bones.

Competition 2.

Teacher: The second competition is called: "What is it?"

I've got two bags of animals. Any pupil from team N 1, come here, please. Take the toys of the animals, show and ask a question: "What is it?'

 Pupils from team N 2, answer: "It is a monkey". And now any pupil from team 2, come here, please. Do the same.

Two poems: "The elephant", "The monkey".

Teacher: You are tired. Let's have a rest. You've learnt short poems.  You can recite them.

Teacher:  Referee, tell us the result of the second competition.

Teacher: Let's play a little bit. Sing and do!

Competition 3.

Teacher: What about a game of "Echo"? You are the echo now. Which team is the best echo?

I can go. I can run. I can jump. I can climb I can sleep. I can ...

Teacher: Referee, which are the best echo?

Competition 4.

Teacher: Competition 4: "Guess what it is". I've prepared some riddles for you.

1. It is big. It is green. It can run. It can swim. It can swallow you. What is it? (Is it a crocodile? ).

 Teacher: That's right. Come here, please, take the crocodile. What can the crocodile do?

Pupil: It can run. It can swim.

Teacher: What cannot the crocodile do?

P: It cannot fly.

2. It is small. It is gray. It can run. It can climb. It cannot fly. It cannot jump. What is it? (Is it the mouse?).

3. It is big. It is brown. It can run. It can swim. It can climb trees. It cannot fly. It sleeps in winter. (Is it a bear?).

4. It is small. It can be red, green, brown, blue, yellow, white. It can fly. It can talk. It cannot swim. (Is it a parrot?)

Teacher: Referee, tell us the results, please.

Competition 5.

Teacher: Competition 5: "Can you ... ?"

One pupil from each team come here. Listen, show, answer and do!

Can you hop like a rabbit?

Can you jump like a frog?

Can you walk like a duck?

Can you run a dog?

Can you fly like a bird?

Can you swim like a fish?

Teacher: And now listen this song and help to sing it! + And be still like a good child as still like you wish.

Competition 6.

Teacher: Let's have a competition test. Irene has learnt a poem: "A super cat" Take tests, put pluses if a super cat can do things, minus if it cannot.

A Super Cat.

My cat can sing, my cat can walk,

My cat can watch TV.

My cat can do so many things

And it can play with me.

My cat can't play computer games

And can't sit on my bed.

But all in all, but all in all

It is a super cat.

Competition 7.

Teacher: Competition 7: "Who am I?" The pupils have prepared some riddles. Guess: who is who?

1. I'm small. I'm black and white. I can go. I can run. I can swim. I cannot fly. Who am I? (A penguin).

Are you a penguin?

2. (I'm very big. I'm gray.) I can go. I can run. I cannot jump. I cannot climb trees. Who am I? (An elephant).

3. (I am small. I am brown.) I can run. I can jump. I can climb trees. I cannot fly. Who am I? (a monkey)

4. (I am small. I am green.) I can jump. I can swim. I cannot fly. Who am I? (A frog.)

Teacher: Referee tells the result of the competition 7.

Competition 8.

Teacher: Competition 8 is for artists. Please, artists from teams, come here!

Look at the pictures while we are counting till 20.

The children are counting. The artists are watching.

Teacher: Take a piece of paper and a felt-tip pen and draw the animal. While the artists are drawing we are singing a song: "Ten Indians".

Teacher: Show your picture to your team and you, children, say what it is. "It is a ………

Teacher: Referee, tell us the results of the competition 8.

Competition 9.

Teacher: Competition 9: "What I have in my bag." Let' revise the questions about colors and size.

Repeat after me! Is it big (small)? Is it red, (blue ...)? (учитель показывает карточки разного цвета)

T: No, it isn't.

P2: Is it a monkey?

Teacher: While the Referee is counting all bananas and all bones we have some minutes for making the maps of animals. At home you've made some pictures of animals and now you can describe them.

You can see the maps on the blackboard.

Teacher: it is Africa. It is Australia. It is America. It is Antarctica.

Teacher: Describe the pictures of animals, say what they can do, where they are from. First of all let's make the map of Europe and Asia.

P1: Here is an owl. It is from Europe. Its eyes are big and round. Its beak is strong and sharp. You can see owls in the forest. It can fly. It likes mice.

P2: Here is a squirrel. It is from Europe. Its ears are small. Its tail is big and fluffy.

It can run, jump and climb trees. It likes mushrooms and nuts.

P3: Here is a hedgehog. It is from Europe. It is small. Its legs are short. It can run. They like mice and apples.

P 1: Here is a tortoise. It is from Asia. Its legs are short. Its shell is hard. It can go very slowly. It likes plants.

P 2:  Here is a tiger. It is from Asia. It is very big and strong. It can run fast. It likes other animals.

Teacher: (is showing the pictures).

P3: Here is a bear. It is from Asia.

P4: Here is a viper. It is from Asia.

Teacher: Let's make the map of animals of Africa.

P5: Here is an elephant. It is from Africa. It is very big and fat. Its ears are big. Its trunk is long. It can walk and run. It likes tree leaves.

P6: Here is a parrot. It is from Africa. It is very nice. It can fly. It likes fruits and nuts.

P7: Here is a monkey. It is from Africa.

P8: Here is a zebra. It is from Africa.

P9: Here is a lion. It is from Africa.

P10: Here is a hippo. It is from Africa.

Teacher: You have work hard. Good of us. Let's relax a bit. Let's sing a song "A Happy Hippo Holiday".

Teacher: Let's make the map of Antarctica.

 P1: Here is a penguin. It is from Antarctica. It is black and white. It can swim but cannot fly. It likes fish.

P2: Here is a polar bear. It is from Antarctica.

P3: Here is a walrus. It is from Antarctica.

Teacher: Do you like these maps.

Class: Yes.

Teacher: You've made the best maps in the world. Good of us. Now, let's listen the final result of the game "The Call of Jungle".

Referee: Team 1 has got 20 bones. Team 2 has got 20 bananas. The both teams are winners. No losers. Good of you!

Teacher: Our lesson is coming to the end. How do you feel about our activities? Are you happy or sad? Look at the blackboard!

- Are you happy?  

- Yes.

- Are you sad?

- No.

- All are happy.  ……………are good pupils at our lesson! ..., ... are better! ..., are the best. They know a lot about animals. But all of you are happy today.
