Конспект урока по английскому языку

Тема «Общественные службы» (“Public services”)

Класс: 9-й

Учитель: Белая М. А.

 

Цели урока (Goals):

Образовательные

·         Обеспечить в ходе урока усвоение и закрепление лексики по теме

·         Создать условия для отработки навыков и умений в чтении, письме, говорении, восприятии речи на слух с целью поиска информации

·         Расширить общий кругозор учащихся

Развивающие

·         Создать условия для самореализации обучающихся при решении поставленных в ходе урока задач

·         Создать условия для развития  коммуникативных навыков через разнообразные виды речевой деятельности (монологическая речь)

·         Содействовать формированию  самостоятельной познавательной деятельности

Воспитательные

·         Способствовать развитию культуры взаимоотношений при работе в группах, коллективе

·         Содействовать повышению уровня мотивации на уроках через средства обучения

 

 

Задача урока (Pupil learning objective):

By the end of the lesson pupils will be able to create the project of their dream city in the final group work activity in order to persuade their classmates to visit it.

 

Предполагаемые трудности в ходе урока (Preliminary considerations):

         Восприятие англоязычной речи на слух во время просмотра видео.

            Для преодоления трудностей планируется повторное прослушивание диалогов при необходимости.

                                         Ход урока (Procedure)

Этапы урока (Stages):

 

1 Организационный этап (1 minute)

         The teacher greets the pupils, asks them about the date, absent pupils, pupils’ mood.

 

2 Постановка целей и задачи урока. Мотивация учебной деятельности учащихся. Лексико-фонетическая разминка (мозговой штурм) (5 minutes)

The teacher suggests watching a short video in order to elicit their ideas about the topic of the lesson. The pupils watch the video and provide their ideas.

 

The teacher divides the class into 2 groups and asks them to brainstorm their associations with the topic of the lesson by creating a mind map (Appendix 1). The teacher sets the time limit (1 minute). The pupils then compare their lists, the group with the biggest number of words wins.

 

3 Первичное закрепление лексики в знакомой ситуации (5 minutes)

         The teacher asks the pupils to watch the presentation on public services and to name the places they can see in the pictures. The groups name the public places in turns.

 

4 Творческое применение и добывание знаний в новой ситуации (27 minutes)

            Each group gets a set of cards and matches the public places with the services provided there based on exercise 1a, page 96 (Unit 6d) (Appendixes 2 and 3). The groups check the results according to the given model. They ask the questions and answer them in turns (Group 1: “Where can you buy a stamp? – Group 2: “In a post office” / Group 2: “What can you do in a bank? – Group 1: “You can open a bank account / pay the bills etc.”) The teacher asks the pupils to recall the places visited recently and name the reasons of visiting. The pupils share their experiences with the colleagues.

 

            The pupils listen to 8 different speakers and try to guess where they are (Appendix 4). The teacher stimulates the pupils to justify their ideas.

 

            The groups find the magic word that will help them guess the name of the project. Each group chooses its representatives to take part in treasure hunt activity. They go around the class and find the pictures of the public places in order to compose the magic word (CITY). Each group creates the map of their dream city based on the handout provided (Appendix 5). They have to assign the names to the public buildings and streets. They prepare a short presentation in order to persuade the other group to visit its city. One or several representatives of the groups present their projects. The teacher then asks the groups to decide whether their classmates have managed to convince them or not.

            The teacher explains the home task to the pupils (exercise 8, page 97) and gives the marks.

 

6 Рефлексия (подведение итогов занятия) (1 minute)

The teacher thanks the pupils for the work and asks about their impressions and what they have learned during the lesson.
