Лексический тест для 11 класса по теме International Cooperation (U.8, L.5 Belarus Day)

1.       Read these opinions. Which one do you agree with the most and why?

Alex: "I really think Belarussian international cultural events are a fantastic way to showcase our heritage. Last year, I went to the festival in London, and it was amazing to see traditional music and dance from my country being celebrated. It made me proud to share my culture and meet others who appreciate it too."

Sasha: "Honestly, I'm not sure about these cultural events. Sometimes I feel like they don't really connect with our younger generation. I went to one a few months ago, and although it was interesting, I noticed most of my friends didn't show much interest. It's like we're stuck between wanting to keep our roots and moving forward."

Viktor: "I’m quite against these events, to be honest. They often feel like they’re just for show and don’t really resonate with what’s happening back home. When I went to one a couple of years ago, I didn’t feel the real Belarus there; it felt more like a caricature, just a way to tick boxes without any true connection."

Olga: "Oh, I just get so emotional thinking about these events! They remind me of my childhood in Belarus, where I used to dance at family gatherings. I went to a cultural night last month, and when I heard that folk song, tears just started streaming down my face. It's like those events bring back all the love and warmth of my home."
