ХОД УРОКА:

1.Организационный момент.

Teacher: Hello, student! Sit down, please! I am glad to see you! How did you spend yesterday evening? As for me, I spent some time watching a film (movie). It is called “The Night Watch”. Have you seen the film? What do you think about it?

Pupil 1: Yes, I have seen the film and I am sure it is a real hit. I think a lot of people watched it.

Pupil 2: In my opinion the film is a bit boring and the plot is a real mess and it has very little in a common with the book which it based on.

Pupil 3: Oh, I think  the film is great, it was nominated for an Oskar, but unfortunately it was not awarded one.

Teacher: Well, I see, you have different tastes in watching films. And we will try to find out what are they. The topic of our lesson is “The magic world of cinema”. Film making industry developed rapidly and the number of genres of films grew constantly. The 20-th century may be called the century of film making.

We are going to speak about the role of cinema in our life, discuss our favourite genres, actors and films. I think this topic is very actually now because 2016  is a year of  Russian cinema.

2.Вступительное слово (задачи урока).

What is cinema? In my opinion cinema is the favourite and most widespread form of entertainment both for children and adults. Cinema is a mirror reflection of the country rulers and their policy. But be attentive and  careful, not all films are useful. We’ve already studied a lot of information about cinema but today we are going to continue the conversation about history of  the cinematography, about films in Russia and in the USA. We will visit  the  film festival and will see several  fragments from the films.

So let's  begin our lesson with the history of the development of cinematography.

    T: I am sure you would like to express  your opinions  about this film.

P1: From my point of view  I’ve watched it sometimes already. All the girls in our form are absolutely mad about Titanic. The music impressed me greatly. It is very important for understanding the idea of a film, the conception of a producer, it touches our soul.

P2: That’s true the actors playing in this film are also talented- Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet. The special effects are in the service of the story. I really enjoyed it.

P3: Watching this film I could feel  that I was together with the actors.I lived through the tragidy. There were no useless scenes at all. The music was suitable and wonderful. The film  was a great success.

T: You have made a very important conclusion concerning cinema. You are right, cinema combines several art forms, producing the most life-like impression of reality. For example, music is very important for understanding the idea of a film, the conception of a producer, it touches our soul.

I have said already we are  in the  film festival.

Here are many guests and  many actors as usual  and   many repoters from different newspapers and magazines too And now I want to meet you a repoter from "Morning Star" magazine Yuri with his operater Vlad.

·       Hi, "Morning Star" magazine. How are you?

·       I'm fine, thank you....

·       We publish detailed interviews with people our readers are interested in. I came to ask you several questions. You  have just watched several fragments from the films. Tell me, please, what film do you like best of all?

·       " Titanic" is my favorite film. I like  Angelina Jolie and Leonardo Di Caprio.  They are my favorite actors.

·       What genres do you like the best?

·       I like many genres but thriller I like best of all.

·       Who is your favorite film actor?

·       I really like all films with Tom Hanks. I think he is a legendary actor.

·       And  what film with this actor do you like the best?

·       It's "This Christmas". It's never wasted time to watch a heartwarming film. I like watching it every Christmas.

You know 2016 is the year of Russian film.

·       Do you know any Russian films awarded  Oscar? What are they? (вопрос к гостям)( “War and peace”, “Moscow doesn’t believe in tears”, “Burn by the Sun”)

Russian films were awarded by Oscar too. The first Oscar was given to the documentary   film by Vitali Suslenkov in 1942. Sergei Bondarchuk got Oscar in 1968 for the film  “War and peace”.  Then in 1975 was the film shot in corporation with Japanese director Akira Kurosava “Dersu Uzala. Vladimir Menshov - 1980 the film “Moscow doesn’t believe tears” Nikita Mikhalkov. In 1994 his picture “Burn by the Sun” was awarded by  Oscar  too. These directors brought honour to our country. It means that our films are worth seeing and we are proud of these outstanding people, who created such masterpieces. And at last in 2000 it was our cartoon “The old man and the sea” that won this award.
