Методические указания и задания для выполнения контрольной работы по дисциплине «Иностранный язык» студентами заочной формы обучения по специальности 08.02.01 Строительство и эксплуатация зданий и сооружений составлены в соответствии с требованиями федерального государственного образовательного стандарта и рабочей программы по учебной дисциплине «Иностранный язык».
Цель методических указаний – обеспечить контроль освоения иностранного языка в рамках базового курса, а также основ профессионального языка. Контрольная работа 1 соответствуют базовому курсу английского языка, представленному в учебнике И.П. Агабекян. Английский язык для СУЗов. Ростов н /Д : Феникс, 2015. -318с. Контрольная работа 1 имеет 9 вариантов.
В контрольной работе предусмотрены задания на проверку навыков чтения, письменной речи, знание грамматического и лексического материала. Объем контрольных работ соответствует количеству часов, отведенных студентам для самостоятельной работы.

составлены в соответствии с требованиями федерального государственного
образовательного стандарта и рабочей программы по учебной дисциплине
«Иностранный язык».
Цель методических указаний – обеспечить контроль освоения иностранного
языка в рамках базового курса, а также основ профессионального языка.
Контрольная работа 1 соответствуют базовому курсу английского языка,
представленному в учебнике И.П. Агабекян. Английский язык для СУЗов. Ростов
н /Д : Феникс, 2015. 318с. Контрольная работа 1 имеет 9 вариантов.
В контрольной работе предусмотрены задания на проверку навыков чтения,
письменной речи, знание грамматического и лексического материала. Объем
контрольных работ соответствует количеству часов, отведенных студентам для
самостоятельной работы.

4 1 ОБЩИЕ ПОЛОЖЕНИЯ
1.1 Настоящие методические рекомендации разработаны с целью организации
выполнения студентами требований контрольной работы.
1.4 Контрольная работа, позволяет комплексно оценить уровень освоение
обучающимися следующих общих и профессиональных компетенций:
ОК1. Понимать сущность и социальную значимость своей будущей профессии,
проявлять к ней устойчивый интерес.
ОК2. Организовывать собственную деятельность, выбирать типовые методы и
способы выполнения профессиональных задач, оценивать их эффективность и
качество.
ОК3. Принимать решения в стандартных и нестандартных ситуациях и нести за них
ответственность.
ОК4. Осуществлять поиск и использование информации, необходимой для
эффективного выполнения профессиональных задач, профессионального и
личностного развития.
ОК5. Использовать информационнокоммуникационные технологии в
профессиональной деятельности.
ОК6. Работать в коллективе и в команде, эффективно общаться с коллегами,
руководством, потребителями.
ОК 7. Брать на себя ответственность за работу членов команды (подчиненных), за
результат выполнения заданий.
ОК8. Самостоятельно определять задачи профессионального и личностного
развития, заниматься самообразованием, осознанно планировать повышение
квалификации.

5 2 ОФОРМЛЕНИЕ КОНТРОЛЬНОЙ РАБОТЫ
Уважаемый студент! Прежде, чем начать выполнять контрольную работу,
пожалуйста, ознакомьтесь с правилами выполнения и оформления контрольных
работ. Неправильно выполненная и оформленная работа будет возвращена вам на
переделку.
Контрольная работа сдается в распечатанном виде, шрифт 14, Times New
Roman, интервал полуторный, поля по 2,0 см со всех сторон.
На обложке указать учебное заведение, группу, кто выполнил работу (ваши ФИО.),
кто проверил работу (ФИО преподавателя), номер и тему контрольной работы,
номер варианта. Вариант присваивается в соответствии порядковому номеру
студента в учебном журнале, № 1019, 2029 соответственно вариант 19.
Все без исключения задания выполняются письменно. Для вашего удобства вам
лучше брать контрольные работы в электронном виде и сразу в них работать.
1. Внимательно читайте задания. Во многих заданиях имеются образцы выполнения.
Выполняйте задания строго по образцу.
2. Задание «Выполните перевод». В вашей контрольной работе должен быть
полностью приведен английский текст, который нужно перевести. Ниже размещается
перевод.
3. Задание «Ответьте на вопросы». Приводится вопрос, ниже помещается ответ под
тем же номером. Например:
1. Do your children go to school?
1. No, my son is only three.
4. Задание «Выберите правильное значение слова». Приводится слово, через тире его
значение.
5. Задание «Поставьте знак T(true) или F(false)». Приводится утверждение, в конце
которого ставится соответствующий знак, заглавной буквой.
6. Задание «Заполните пробелы в предложении». Предложение приводится
полностью, слово, которым вы заполнили пробел, выделяется жирным шрифтом или
подчеркивается.
6 7. Грамматические упражнения приводятся в готовом виде; обязательно выделите
жирным шрифтом или подчеркните то, что вы вставили в предложение или изменили
согласно правилам грамматики.
8. Задание «Вставьте в текст пропущенные предложения». Текст приводится
полностью, вставленные предложения выделяются жирным шрифтом или
подчеркиванием.
9. Задание «Переведите на английский язык». Приводится русский текст, ниже
перевод.
10. Задание «Сопоставьте начало предложения с его окончанием». Предложение
должно быть приведено полностью в готовом виде.
11. Задание «Поставьте предложения в вопросительную и отрицательную форму»,
Приводится изначальное утвердительное предложение, ниже его вопросительная и
отрицательная форма под одним номером.
12. Задание «Выпишите из текста эквиваленты выражений». Следует привести
выражение, а через тире его эквивалент (т.е. равноценное по смыслу выражение на
английском / русском языке).
13. Задание «Найдите в тексте предложения со сходным смыслом». Приводится
исходное предложение, ниже то, которое вы нашли в тексте.
В установленные учебным графиком сроки студент направляет выполненную
работу для проверки в учебное заведение.
После получения прорецензированной работы студенту необходимо исправить
отмеченные ошибки, выполнить все указания преподавателя, повторить
недостаточно усвоенный материал.
Не зачтенные контрольные работы подлежат повторному выполнению.
Для получения зачета необходимо выполнить контрольную работу, сделать
все исправления, указанные преподавателем в выполненных заданиях и защитить
работу, т.е. в процессе опроса по ней показать хорошую осведомленность и
самостоятельность выполнения.

ИСТОЧНИКОВ
Список литературы является составной частью контрольной работы и
размещается после «Заключения». Список использованных источников
оформляется по ГОСТ 7.1 – 2003.
Библиографический список оформляется по следующим схемам:

Do I really look like this?
Our passport (or identity card) photo is the photo we show to the largest
number of different people during our lives. But how happy are we with our
photo? Do we make an effort to get a good one? According to research by the US
printer company Lexmark, the answer varies according to nationalities. It seems
that the Italians are the most embarrassed about their passport photo (21% said
they didn’t like showing it to other people). On the other hand, 98% of Norwegians
said they were happy with their photos. And the French spend most their time
trying to get the perfect photo (sometimes spending an hour in the photo booth!).
We asked three British media celebrities how they felt about their passport
photos…
MICHEL WINNER (film director)
“I used to be very proud of my passport photo,” said Michel Winner. “For
more than forty years I looked like an elegant film director.” But recently Michel
renewed his passport and took a new photo in a photo booth. ‘Now I look like a
drug dealer,’ he says.
RUTH ENGLAND (TV holiday show presenter)
Ruth England spends her life travelling and showing her passport photo to
passport officials around the world. She confessed, “Once I had a passport photo
where I looked really hideous and so I deliberately “lost” my passport and got a
new one. For my latest passport, I took several photos and chose the best one. I
quite like it. I’ve had much worse ones.”
TOBY YOUNG (author and journalist)
Toby Young said, “I’m often stopped when I go through passport control
because I don’t look like my passport photo at all. In my photo I had a lot more
hair but now I’m bald. No one believes it is me. So, now I have two possibilities:
take a wig with me every time I travel or get a new passport photo.”

Read my lips!
Forget about fortune tellers and horoscopes. The shape of a person’s lips can
say a lot about them. The 5.000yearold art of face reading is gaining popularity.
So, take a look at the shape of someone’s lips to find out about their personality….
14 People with full lips are usually responsible. You can always trust them to do
what you ask them to do. They are also decisive; they make decisions quickly. On
the other hand, they tend to be rather bossy. They like telling other people what to
do!
People who have thin upper lip and full lower lip are energetic. They work
very hard and like participating in a lot of activities. They are ambitious as well;
they want to be successful in life. However, these people tend to be selfcentered.
They seem to only care about themselves and they sometimes forget about other
people’s feelings.
People with thin lips are determined; they know what they want and they do
all they can to get it. They are careful people who do their work with a lot of
attention and thought. However, they tend to be reserved; they don’t like showing
their feelings or expressing their opinions. They can also be mean; they don’t like
sharing things or spending money.
People who have lips with downturning corners are very generous. They love
giving things to other people and helping them. They are also intelligent and
understand difficult subjects quickly and easily. On the other hand, they can be
sensitive at times; they get upset easily, so be careful of what you say to them.

The Internet and education.
Until quite recently Silicon Valley and its innovations had little effect on
teaching and learning. But with the rise of the Internet, information technology is

can be a valuable source of information and opinion for students, though the
information may not be totally accurate – some academics refuse to use them.
Perhaps the best known wiki is the online encyclopedia, Wikipedia. Wikipedia is
working hard to make sure that its information is completely accurate, so students
will be able to use it with confidence, and there's no doubt that it is incredible
resource.

Living without a TV
Almost every family today has a TV, in fact probably more than one, and people
everywhere spend hours watching it. But a few families choose to live without a
TV because they think there are advantages.
The first advantage is that families spend more time talking to each other.
Secondly, they spend more time doing more creative things like reading or
painting. Thirdly, they spend more time outdoors, and are usually fitter.
On the other hand, they are also disadvantages. For example, children who don't
have TV may feel different from their school friends, and often won't know what
they are talking about. Also it is not true that all TV programs are bad. There are
also good ones, like documentaries, and people who live without a TV may know
less about what's happening in the world.
In conclusion, although living without a TV has some advantages, I think it's
unrealistic and that we should just try to turn the TV off when there's nothing good
on.

We don't need any education …or do we?
The song (by Pink Floyd), which was a number 1 in the UK and abroad, was
an attack on school and education and it had the famous chorus, “we don't need no
education, we don't need no thought control.... teachers, leave those kids alone!”.
The chorus was sung by thirteen schoolchildren from Islington green School
in London, who were taken to the Britannia Row record studio to sing on the
recording by their music teacher. They never met the group and were not paid for
their work. When the head of the school heard the song with its antischool lyrics,
she banned the children from receiving any publicity or from appearing on TV.
Peter Rowan, a royalty expert from Edinburgh, has spent two years trying to
find the children, now adults, and he intends to help them make a legal claim for
royalties.
Mr. Rowan said, “They probably won't get more than a few hundred pounds
each, but this is about recognition. They deserve to have their work recognized
even if it has taken 25 years.”
Ian Abbott, 40, was one of the children who sang on the record. He said,
“Now I don't agree that “we don't need any education.” Education is so important. I
47 really regret that I didn't study more at school. I would like to go to university now
and get a degree. But work gets in the way when you get older. Sometimes I say to
my nieces, “you must study harder,” and they say, “But why? Look at what you
sang on that record.”
Mirabai Narayan, another one of the children, now works as a teacher herself.
She said, “I sometimes wonder if the song influenced my career. My job now is to
help kids with learning difficulties.”
